North Shore Lions Youth Exchange Program Since 1970 we've been sending North Shore Students to Japan for 2 weeks to act as ambassadors.

The North Shore Lions Youth Exchange Program has been in operation since 1970; Our program strives to provide an increased cultural understanding and friendship between the cities of North Vancouver, BC, and Chiba, Japan. We have helped more than 450 students to experience a different culture by actually living as part of the culture. Have a look at our website; if this sounds like something you'r

Our NV kids are stranded in Japan thanks to Air Canada. AC sent me a cancelation notice then sent another notice that they had exhausted their search for another flight and left us on our own. After 20 hours of trying to rebook...I was finally able to get them on a United flight from Tokyo to Phoenix to Vancouver. It will be a long day for them but at least they will get home late Thursday night.
After using AC for 55 years, I think we will be using JAL in the future...

Day 15 in NV was supposed to be a travel day for the Chiba students going home. The AC strike changed that and they get an extra 4 days here. They depart on Friday on Air Canada but I won't relax until I see their plane in the air.
