Greyshirts – Big News from Orlando!

Team Rubicon is teaming up with the Home Builders Institute (HBI) to launch a pilot program that opens the door to careers in the skilled trades.

We’ve built a brand-new curriculum that blends our disaster response experience with HBI’s industry expertise, to offer hands-on training that makes a real-world impact.

What You’ll Get:

· 9 weeks of free training in Fortified Carpentry & Roofing

· OSHA-10 certification

· Job placement support after graduation

When: Sept 22 – Nov 21, 2025 (Mon–Fri, 8AM–4PM)
Where: Orlando HBI BuildStrong Academy

Memorial Day Ceremonies Near You

The U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) is hosting ceremonies at 130+ national cemeteries across the country to honor those who served.

This is not a Team Rubicon event, but you're welcome to attend and join others in honoring the sacrifices of our nation’s heroes.

Fifteen years ago, a group of volunteers chose to go serve the survivors of the devastating 2010 Haiti earthquake. Every January 13th, we encourage everyone to GO and make a difference in their community. Go Day is a day of decisiveness, action, and service.

In honor of Team Rubicon’s 15 years of serving communities in need, we're kicking off 15 Days of Service!

On January 13, 2010, a group of tenacious veterans and first responders saw the horrible devastation following the Haiti earthquake and knew they had to act. That was the day Team Rubicon was born, Go Day!

Mobilization Update

Curious about how we choose Greyshirts for operations? Read on!

First, thank you to the thousands of Greyshirts eager to serve communities impacted by Hurricane Helene and Hurricane Milton. 💗

Mobilization considers several booking factors to ensure the communities we serve get the right people and skills at the right time. We book personnel based on availability, needed skill sets, distance from the operation, leadership availability, and forward operating base (FOB) capacity.

For Helene, the calls for action to serve hurricane-affected communities have been answered by more than the individual FOBs can carry. As a result, we had to stand down some Greyshirts. Our Mobilization team is in the process of communicating this.

We LOVE how much you want to serve. Keep that energy! 😀 The situation is unfolding and we are in this for the long haul. Milton has made landfall and there will be more opportunities to serve.
