SECRETARY GAINEY VISITS FLICKA GYMNASTICS TO SEE GRANT IMPACT

The Honourable Anna Gainey, Secretary of State for Children and Youth, visited Flicka Gymnastics last week following our recent approval for the Canada Summer Jobs grant.

The federal funding directly enabled us to expand our team by hiring a dedicated Behaviour Therapist for the summer season. The specialized position focuses on delivering tailored support to our athletes, reinforcing our commitment to building an inclusive and positive environment for every child.

During the walkthrough, Secretary Gainey saw firsthand how the grant translates into real-world community impact—strengthening programs, boosting youth support, and empowering local athletes.

Now that the excitement of our very first Flicka Extravaganza Training Camp has settled, we want to take a moment to say a very special THANK YOU to everyone who helped make this weekend such a success. 🤸‍♀️✨

To all the athletes who showed up ready to learn, work hard, challenge themselves, and have fun—we are so proud of you! Your energy and enthusiasm filled the gym all weekend. 💪

To the coaches and clinicians who shared their knowledge, skills and passion — thank you for inspiring our athletes and making every training session count. ❤️
