The lack of a co-op program in the School of Business has established an atmosphere of uncertainty for students aiming to obtain work experience related to their field of study prior to graduation. The CapU internship courses (e.g., BADM 340 and BADM 440) have not been popular elective options among students, most likely due to their unawareness of the courses’ availability for enrollment. The CAA has invited Vice Chair, Academic and Instructor, Christine Sjolander to discuss the internship courses towards students. The purpose of the CapU Internship Course Information Session to inform Business Administration students about the internship courses available for study, so that they can earn relevant work experience prior to graduation.
**Event date - February 1, 2023 at 3 p.m.
**Location of the event is in the Library Building Room LB322.
Refreshments will be served!

Mark your calendar for an interesting event!
The Capilano Finance Association is hosting a real estate seminar. Nabeel Gilani will share his professional industry insights. The event aims at educating students on the current real estate market, the impact of the rising interest rates on it, investment properties in the GVA and BC, and career opportunities in real estate. Thus, the attendees would potentially make sound financial decisions in the future regarding buying a home and/or investment properties.
Various topics to discuss:
1. The current state of the real estate market
2. The impact of increasing interest rates on the housing market
3. Perspective on investment properties in GVA and BC
4. Career as a realtor and becoming licensed BC
There will be time for networking. Followed by an open discussion Q&A.

The event will be held on campus in LB322 on October 25, 5-6:30 pm.
