Reminder. VOLUNTEERS needed today (Saturday, April 11) at 1PM at Seaview Golf & Country Club.

WORK BEE at 1:00 pm to pack away the ski club's equipment and clean out the rental room at the golf club.

BONUS - we are running our annual SKI WAXING CLINIC/SERVICE to prepare your skis for storage.

Cost is a nominal $5.00/pair or FREE if you help volunteer as part of the work bee.

End of season, SKI WAXING CLINIC/SERVICE & WORK BEE this Saturday April 11th at 1PM at Seaview Golf & Country Club.

Former national team skier Louis Helbig will run a ski waxing clinic for anyone wanting to learn more about waxing their skis including how to prepare them with storage wax for summer.

We will have all the equipment and supplies. Bring your skis.

Cost is a nominal $5.00/pair or free if you help volunteer as part of the work bee cleaning up and packing away the club's ski & other equipment at the golf course.

Today's trail report from Baddeck Nordic, Wednesday, April 8 2026

All trails open today Conditions are good. There are a couple of rocks showing at the end of Milky Way, where it intersects with Sugarbush.

Everything else is all covered

Expect more winter like conditions this morning on a hard packed surface with light snow on top. That will change to spring like later today as the temperature rises above zero

The Easter Bunny will be at Baddeck Nordic Sat April 4th. 🐰

The Easter Bunny will be making 2 appearances at Baddeck Nordic this Sat April 4th at 1-1:30pm and 2:30-3pm.

Lots of fun opportunities to get your photo with the Easter Bunny

Family friendly ski games , Easter egg hunt and guided ski 1:30-2:30pm

Event led by the Cape Breton Ski Ambassador Michelle Richards

Ski and snowshoe equipment available at the Baddeck Library. Participants are encouraged to be on skis or snowshoes for the trail portion of the event.

* Free Easter bunny treats and photos. Open to the public in the welcome area.

** Use of the trails for skiing and snowshoeing will be by donation to Baddeck Nordic.

Skiing continues to be excellent in Baddeck!

Today's (Fri April 3) trail report.

All trails are open today. Conditions this morning are fast on a hard packed surface.

This will soften and improve as the temperature rises and when it starts to snow around noon.

Roger plans to groom early Saturday morning, depending on the weather

It was a perfect spring skiing kinda day, today (Sun Mar 29) at Baddeck Cross Country Skiers. Cool temperatures under a warm sun.

Cape Breton Nordic is closed, for lack of snow ... but we can still ski in on the Baddeck Cross Country Skiers trail network. Fresh grooming and excellent conditions reported this morning.
