The North Sydney way and sydney mines cupboard it has come to my attention that as soon as I put items in first person who goes there is taking all I really don’t want to have to limit the amount I put in can you please leave some for other who might need it for there fur babies thank you

If you are using the cupboards at the end of Bentinck Street in Sydney, please CLOSE AND LOCK THE DOORS!

This has already been addressed and I can’t believe I have to address it again.

Today I came home to a raccoon in the cupboard ripping bags of food open. This should not be happening and would not be happening if the doors were closed properly.

The volunteers who run these cupboards spend their time and money to keep these cupboards running and to help as many people as possible.
So please have respect for the time, effort and money put into these cupboards by simply closing and locking the doors to keep pests out.

It is not a difficult concept but since it seems to be confusing some people, please check the comments for an instructional video.

The community pet cupboards on Bentinck Street in Sydney are both equipped with locks on the doors, please use them.
There is also a reminder on the inside of the doors that is clear and hard to miss.
Leaving the doors unlocked leaves the cupboard susceptible to wild animals such as raccoons. The raccoons tear the food apart and damage the cupboards.
It also leaves the cupboards vulnerable to damage from the wind taking the doors and rain/snow getting inside.
These cupboards are volunteer run and the food is donated.
If we have to continue repairing the cupboards, cleaning the inside because of scavengers or wasting the donated food, the cupboards will stop.

Please have some respect and close and lock the doors of the cupboards when you use them.
It is not difficult.

The Sydney cupboard just received a huge donation of canned food. If any of the other cupboard would like to pick some up please message Naomi.
She will post in the comments and you can message her directly to arrange pick up.
