Kiwanis Club Of Nipissing

Kiwanis Club Of Nipissing Kiwanis International is an international, coeducational service club founded in 1915.

The six permanent Objects of Kiwanis International were approved by Kiwanis club delegates at the 1924 Kiwanis International Convention in Denver, Colorado. Through the decades, they have remained unchanged:
• To give primacy to the human and spiritual, rather than to the material values of life.
• To encourage the daily living of the Golden Rule in all human relationships.
• To promote the adopti

on and the application of higher social, business and professional standards.
• To develop, by precept and example, a more intelligent, aggressive and serviceable citizenship.
• To provide, through Kiwanis clubs, a practical means to form enduring relationships, to render altruistic service and to build better communities.
• To cooperate in creating and maintaining that sound public opinion and high idealism which make possible the increase of righteousness, justice, patriotism and good will.

🎶 A Fantastic Day for Chippewa Music at the Kiwanis Festival! 🎶

Chippewa Music Students had an awesome day today at the North Bay Kiwanis Music Festival! Our students participated in adjudications and workshops led by the amazing Laura Lee Matthie, a retired music educator from the Simcoe County District School Board.

We are incredibly proud of our students for their hard work, outstanding behaviour, and excellent musicianship. Their dedication truly paid off!

🎷 Jazz Ravens – Gold
🎼 Secondary Concert Band – Silver
🎺 Grade 7/8 Band – Bronze
🎸 Guitar Ensemble – Gold

We would like to extend our sincere thanks to Ms. Sunstrum, Mr. Landoni, and the Kiwanis Club for all they do to support our music students and for hosting the Kiwanis Festival in our CSS Theatre.

It is with heavy hearts that we share the passing of John C Hopper, a cherished member of the Nipissing Kiwanian family. For over 58 years, John embodied the spirit of Kiwanis—dedicated, generous, and deeply committed to making our community a better place.

Whether organizing events, mentoring new members, or simply showing up with a smile and a helping hand, he left an indelible mark on our club and on all who had the privilege of knowing them. Their legacy lives on in the lives they touched and the projects they helped bring to life.

We extend our deepest condolences to the Hopper family and loved ones. May we honor their memory by continuing the work they cared so deeply about—with kindness, integrity, and service.

We’re hosting a back-to-school supply drive to help students start the year off strong. There’ll be activities, prizes, and plenty of ways to support local kids in need.

Kiwanis joined a large number of community service clubs and organizations for an evening of live music and fun at the Centennial Celebration Festival. Thank you to Jenn from Giant Tiger for some lovely gift baskets for our door prizes and congrats to our winners. It was great to see the event taking place at the Kiwanis Bandshell
