Midwest Food Resources Midwest Food Resources is passionate about food security. We're a community-based and supported organization, bringing healthy food experiences to all.

Eating well is important, but itโ€™s not always easy. For many of us, buying fresh produce from the grocery store can be expensive. You might not know how to prepare the food. Or, the closest store to you does not stock many healthy options. We are surrounded by less-nutritious options like fast food, pop and chips. Community initiatives can help reduce some of these barriers to healthy eating. Midwest Food Resources supports local action to help make healthy eating a bit easier.

๐ŸŒฑ Community Garden Season Is Almost Here! ๐ŸŒฑ

Battlefords Family Health Centre is getting our community gardens ready for another growing season! Planting time is just around the corner, and garden plots are available at two locationsโ€”one in North Battleford and one in Battleford.

Our community gardens support healthy eating, physical activity, and food sovereignty. Participants receive hands on gardening support from staff throughout the summer, along with opportunities to take part in garden based events and activities.
