What started as a cool Saturday morning quickly turned into a beautiful day filled with warmth, positivity, and community spirit as nearly 200 riders came together for the 2026 Ride for Mom in support of victim services and the fight to help end domestic violence.

From the moment kickstands went up, the energy throughout the ride was incredible. As the day rolled on, the sunshine finally broke through, creating the perfect ending to an amazing day surrounded by great people supporting an important cause.

To everyone who registered, donated, rode alongside us, volunteered their time, and helped make the event possible, thank you. Events like this simply do not happen without the dedication of volunteers, the generosity of sponsors, and the support of a community that truly cares.

Together, we made a difference.

Understanding Intimate Partner Violence in Canada.

This isn’t rare. It’s happening every day.

In Canada, over 120,000 people experience intimate partner violence each year — and nearly 8 in 10 victims are women.

Women are also 3–4 times more likely to experience this type of violence than men.
And it goes deeper than what’s reported.

More than 4 in 10 women in Canada will experience some form of intimate partner violence in their lifetime — including emotional, physical, or psychological abuse.
This isn’t just physical violence.

It can be control. Isolation. Threats. Fear.

Behind every number is a person. A story. A life being affected.

That’s why Ride for Mom exists.
To raise awareness.
To support those impacted.
And to remind people they are not alone.

What is Ride for Mom — and Why Does It Matter?

Ride for Mom is more than a motorcycle ride. It is a movement.

Every year, riders from across Alberta come together for one purpose: to raise awareness and funds to help end domestic violence. The money raised supports organizations that assist women, children, seniors, and families who are trying to escape abuse and rebuild their lives.

Domestic violence does not discriminate. It affects every community. Every income level. Every background.

Ride for Mom exists to give victims a voice, provide real support through local agencies, and remind those suffering in silence that they are not alone.

When you ride, register, donate, or share this message — you are standing up against abuse.

And that matters.
