As part of the NASP-National Archery in Schools Program, Louis presented Wagner School with supplies for their program. They received a Wild Turkey in 3D, arrow heads, 6 dozen arrows, and fetching to the school for their program in the fall. Thank you Ashley Hobbins for contacting Louis for needed supplies. This program has grown widely across North America,and it is felt that it has made a remarkable change in some kids lives.

Today Louis presented Allie Fall with her prize for the Fish Artwork Contest put on by Saskatchewan Wildlife Federation. Allie took 1st place for Grade 4 classes across Saskatchewan. There were 439 entries this year. We are very grateful for the teachers who take the time to communicate this contest to the Grade 4 to 6 students. Our club has been very fortunate to have had a few winners in padt years from Wagner School. Good work Allie, and thank you to the staff who helped out with the project.

Our club have been busy this past week with the fish release for the FinS program. We would like to thank Mrs Kurbis and her class from Choiceland, who released their fish on Thursday May 28th. A hot dog lunch was provided to the group sponsored by the club.
Today, we would like to thank Mm Jackie Wandler and her class from White Fox School, who released their fish today. The club provided this group with a hotdog lunch.
We hope that these programs have provided a tool for educating youth on the development of fish, and what it takes to care for them.

🎨🐟 Calling all young Saskatchewan artists! 🐟🎨

The Saskatchewan Wildlife Federation is gearing up for the 2026 Fish Artwork Contest, which opens April 1 for students in Grades 4–6 across Saskatchewan.

Participants are invited to create an original drawing of a native Saskatchewan fish in its natural habitat. Eligible species include walleye, yellow perch, lake trout, northern pike, lake sturgeon, and Arctic grayling. Artwork may be in colour or black and white using mediums such as paint, drawing, or pastels, and must be completed on 8.5 × 11 paper (no tracing).

✨ New this year: We will be awarding three prize packs: one 1st place winner in Grade 4, Grade 5, and Grade 6!

🏆 Prizes: SWF Fishing Prize Packs, with winning artwork featured on SWF social media and in the Outdoor Canada West Magazine.

🗓 Contest runs April 1–30, 2026
📬 Entries must be postmarked by April 30 and mailed to:

The winner of the Blackstone Tabletop grill was Zachery Whitecap. The winner of the Metal Art sign was Carol Meszaros. Thank you to everyone who stopped by our booth this weekend, and purchased tickets, memberships or just for a good chat. Funds raised go towards Youth programs, Habitat Trust projects and upkeep on our building.
