💙 Celebrating the Thomson Tub Room Grand Opening 💙

Today, the Nipawin Region Health Foundation was honoured to celebrate the grand opening of the newly renovated Nipawin Community Services - Homecare Thomson Tub Room.

This beautiful and much-needed renovation was made possible through an incredibly generous $80,000 donation from Eric Thomson, who chose to invest in better healthcare for patients in our community while creating a lasting legacy in honour of his beloved late wife, Yvonne.

The renovations have transformed the space and, most importantly, improved safety, comfort and dignity for patients receiving Homecare services. The new equipment allows healthcare staff to safely lift patients from the tub, while a new towel warmer provides warm towels and an added measure of comfort during what can be a very vulnerable time.

Before the renovation, the room did not have a toilet and the previous tub presented significant challenges for both patients and healthcare providers. The new space gives staff the tools they need to provide care more safely, respectfully and comfortably.

A huge thank you to the Saskatchewan Health Authority, healthcare staff and everyone who helped bring this project to life. It truly takes a partnership between the Foundation and SHA to make meaningful improvements like this possible.

And most importantly, thank you, Eric, for your incredible generosity and for trusting the Nipawin Region Health Foundation with your gift. Your decision to honour Yvonne through this project means that her legacy—and yours—will continue to touch the lives of patients in our community for many years to come. 💙

Home Care Tub Room Grand Opening 🛁🎉

Join us tomorrow at 10:00 a.m. at Nipawin Community Services, located in the Nipawin Hospital, as we celebrate the grand opening of our newly renovated Home Care Tub Room!

We’ll be celebrating with a ribbon cutting and cake while recognizing the incredible generosity of our donor who made this renovation possible. 💙🩵🤍

We’re so grateful for the support that helps improve care and comfort for people in our community.

🎉⛳ THE 2026 PANHANDLER GRAND TOTAL IS IN! ⛳🎉

$105,461! ❤️

We are absolutely thrilled to announce that the 2026 Panhandler Charity Golf Classic raised an incredible $105,461 for the Nipawin Region Health Foundation!

And we have to give a HUGE shout-out to the Gladys Smith Foundation for their incredible generosity. $30,000 was donated to this year’s Panhandler, following their generous $20,000 donation last year. ❤️

That $30,000 is a HUGE part of our $105,461 total, and we are incredibly grateful for their continued support of healthcare in our region. What an amazing commitment to our community!

This incredible total was made possible by our golfers, sponsors, donors, volunteers, pledge gatherers, auction bidders, businesses, and community supporters who all came together to make this year’s Panhandler such a tremendous success. 🙌

Every dollar raised stays right here to support local healthcare and the facilities that serve our region. 🏥❤️

In the meantime, we have a pretty great success story to share…

A huge thank you to Air Canada Foundation for generously donating two Economy Class return tickets for travel to any Air Canada scheduled destination! ✈️

Our winning bidder for the Luggage & Travel Package, which was paired with the Air Canada tickets, didn’t waste any time putting them to use. Their flights are already booked — and they’re headed to PERU!

Now THAT is how you turn a Panhandler prize into an adventure! 🎉
