We are raising a small herd of fibre sheep as well as a small herd of English Angora rabbits. Sara acted as a community leader coordinating her local soup kitchen and collaborating with service providers to improve the wellbeing of local residents in Crystal Beach a

nd Greater Fort Erie. Learning about recreational therapy and having fibromyalgia (a chronic disease) provided her knowledge on how to increase her wellbeing and quality of life. In December of 2020 Sara and her family moved from Crystal Beach Ontario to Margaret Manitoba. Understanding the value of flow in her life, Sara blended her beloved hobby with animal assisted therapy finding balance and overwhelming joy in the companionship of her little village of English Angora Rabbits. Sara’s vision is to support her communities through a unique blend of therapeutic bunny visits, entertainment, and education. Sara's Fiber Arts favorites: knitting, crocheting, spindle spinning, spinning with her spinning wheel, needle felting, wet felting, and she is currenly excited to learn how to use her singer standard knitting machine. So,

If you're curious about the fiber arts and want to explore it furthur. Drop by the center. I am excited to share some things I’ve been working on…

It was challenging over the years to find true premium felting soap, unscented and only 3 ingredients; The softest most delicate soap. I thought all soaps were the same; oil stripping and a little too drying for my sensitive skin. This soap produces a low lather and is gentle on your hands and the felted project.

I’m still testing it out on my skin.

If all goes well I’ll have some for sale at the market this summer.

The smoother rounds are cold process soap; they take roughly 4-6 months the fully cure. And, I’m inpatient so I made hot process bars as well. Not the prettiest bar but can be used in only 3-4 weeks of cure and it works the same as the cold process cure.
