Friends of the Lee

Friends of the Lee The Friends of the Lee is a group formed in support of the Erland Lee (Museum) Home.

We are not a registered not-for-profit organization at this time and can not issue charitable tax receipts. The first meeting of The Friends of the Lee, also known as WI Members for the Erland Lee (Museum) Home was held in Glanbrook, with 39 members in attendance.

General information

The Erland Lee (Museum) Home is located in Stoney Creek, Ontario, owned and operated by the Federated Women's Institute of Ontario, (FWIO). On December 21, 2010, the "Lee" was closed for an indefinite period of time by the FWIO Board. The constitution of FWIO was hand-penned at the dining room table on February 19, 1897. The Erland Lee Museum Home was home to Erland and Janet Lee, co-founders of FWIO along with Adelaide Hunter Hoodless.
