Instructor Posting! Preschool Music & Movement Instructor
Part-Time Position
Are you energetic, creative, and passionate about inspiring young children through music? We are seeking a Preschool Music & Movement Instructor to lead engaging, age-appropriate classes for children ages 18 months –4 years.
The ideal candidate will create a fun, nurturing environment where children can explore music, movement, rhythm, imagination, and self-expression while building confidence and foundational musical skills.
Responsibilities
Plan and lead interactive music and movement classes for preschool-aged children.
Teach songs, rhythm activities, movement games, creative play, and basic musical concepts.
Foster a positive studio environment.
Encourage participation, creativity, and social development through music.
Communicate professionally with parents and caregivers.
Prepare lesson materials and maintain classroom organization.
Participate in occasional performances, demonstrations, or special events.
Qualifications
Experience working with preschool-aged children (ages 18 months –4 years). Mandatory.
Background in music, music education, early childhood education, dance, theatre, or a related field.
Strong singing and classroom/studio management skills.
Enthusiastic, reliable, and comfortable leading groups of young children.
Ability to create a fun, engaging, and developmentally appropriate learning environment.
Current First Aid/CPR certification is an asset.
Vulnerable Sector Check (or willingness to obtain one).
Schedule
Weekly classes 45 minutes in length, Monday after school hours, including Saturday mornings and/or weekday mornings or afternoons.
Additional opportunities may be available based on enrollment and experience.
Compensation
Competitive hourly rate based on qualifications and experience.
