Our mission is to empower girls to reach their full potential through gender specific programming, inspiring all girls to be strong, smart, and bold.

We offer After School Programs, camps, workshops, and more for girls 6 to 18 yrs old. We provide an all-girl environment, which allows girls to focus on their interests, at their own pace, free from distractions and comparisons. Our programs address the whole girl. They provide her with leadership experience, build her athletic skills and competitive spirit, teach her money management skills, self

reliance and life skills, nurture her ability and interest in science, math and technology, equip her with critical health and sexuality information and foster her self-respect and self-determination. We are committed to building a culture of unity and hope – one in which each child is recognized and valued.

September 30th marks the National Day for Truth and Reconciliation.

Today, Girls Inc. of York Region honours the survivors of residential schools, the children that never came home, and their families and communities that remain forever impacted by the residential school system. We encourage everyone to come together and reflect on the experiences and the continued resilience of Indigenous communities across Canada.

True reconciliation is a commitment to learn, understand, and make meaningful changes every day for a more just and respectful future.

This holiday season, Girls Inc. is focused on supporting families in need by ensuring they have a special and memorable Holiday celebration. Many families face financial challenges, especially during the holidays, making it difficult to provide special meals or presents for their children. You can help by sponsoring a Girls Inc. Holiday Hamper, which provides essential gifts and groceries. Monetary donations allow parents to choose the perfect gifts for their children. Recommended contributions are $50 per family member for groceries and $75 per child for gifts. These hampers, which include gift cards, clothing, hygiene products, and a family gift, are distributed to families verified through a rigorous subsidy program. Your support helps ensure every child experiences the joy of the season. 💖🎁
