📢 NBA ratification update: Nurses' Bargaining Association members have voted 67% to reject the proposed collective agreement with HEABC.

Before taking any next steps, your bargaining committee wants to hear from nurses. Take a few minutes to fill out the post-ratification vote survey sent to your email before Monday, June 22 at 11:59 PM.

Today, HSA President Sarah Kooner took our members' priorities directly to the 2027 BC budget consultation in Victoria.

She made the case for three urgent investments: addressing critical shortages of specialized health professionals, retaining the health science and community social service professionals who keep our system running, and expanding supports for infants, children, and youth with support needs.

BC faces real fiscal challenges, but the cost of doing nothing, measured in cancelled surgeries, growing waitlists, untreated illness, and services disappearing from rural communities, is far too great to not act now.

📞 NBA members: Tomorrow at 12 noon, we're hosting a telephone town hall where you can ask your questions about the tentative agreement.
