Today is the Global Day of Prayer for Burma.

As it is also International Womens Day, we take this opportunity in particular to lift up women and girls in Myanmar in prayer. May the Lord be their portion and their strength.

There are 3 million Christians in Myanmar, 6% of the population. Most come from 3 out of the 150 people groups.

Join us as we pray for the Church in Myanmar, congregations and leaders.
Pray for:
- God's love to be felt
- God's love to be displayed
- Unity in Christ
- Those that haven't heard the gospel

"Then he said to his disciples, “The harvest is plentiful, but the labourers are few; therefore pray earnestly to the Lord of the harvest to send out labourers into his harvest.”" Matthew 9:37-38

3.5 million people have been displaced inside Myanmar. Many communities have had to leave their homes and flee into jungles, mountains or across rivers to find refuge. Adapting to life on the run is a daily struggle.

Take 5 minutes to pray for Myanmar communities and their leaders today.
Pray that the Lord:
- Hears them
- Reveals himself to them
- Shields them
- Leads them

"But God has put the body together, giving greater honour to the parts that lacked it, so that there should be no division in the body, but that its parts should have equal concern for each other. If one part suffers, every part suffers with it; if one part is honoured, every part rejoices with it."

In Myanmar, youth represent more than a third of the population. Despite this, many face barriers to their future including access to education, separation from their families, and limited employment opportunities.

- Comfort
- Identity in Christ
- Loving friendship

Crisis means something different to every family. Whether it's being separated from each other, losing your home or land, a gravely sick relative, or something else, these seemingly impossible situations put families at risk.

Join us in the lead up to the Global Day of Prayer for Burma, as we pray for children, families, youth, communities and the Church in Myanmar.

We will post 5 five-minute prayer prompts over the next few weeks. Each prayer prompt will focus on one of the 5 groups.

Did you know in Thailand '555' can be used to represent laughter? As we pray sincerely for the needs of these groups, may we also find joy in everything the Lord is already doing to help those in and from Myanmar.
