Won Alexander Cumyow is a fascinating New West historical resident. They were a strong voice in fighting anti-Chinese discrimination that was entrenched into our laws. When you learn more about their story, it won't be surprising to know that they are shortlisted to be featured on a new $5 bill design.

New Westminster is an urban setting that we share with lots of wildlife. This shot was taken at Sapperton landing, with a family of Geese, a Beaver and a Great Blue Heron all enjoying the river. Do you have any pictures to share of wildlife you've spotted around town?
