A big thank you to Marigold Gardens for dropping off the first 100lbs of food collected through their community food drive in support of Don't Go Hungry. 💛

🥫💛 We're excited to share that our community partner, Marigold Gardens, is hosting a food drive in support of Don't Go Hungry!

Their goal? An incredible 50,000 lbs of food for local families and individuals facing food insecurity. 🌟

📅 June 1 – July 6
📍 Marigold Gardens, 7197 Canada Way, Burnaby
⏰ Drop-off anytime between 7:00 AM and 9:00 PM

They're collecting non-perishable food items, and every donation helps stock our shelves and support neighbours in need. Let's show what our community can accomplish when we come together! 🙌

We are proud to partner with Runners, a registered charity dedicated to reducing food waste and supporting nonprofits across Metro Vancouver.

Here’s what Don’t Go Hungry accomplished so far through this partnership:
3,678 pounds of surplus food donated
8,113 equivalent meals provided to the community
9,736 pounds of CO2eq mitigated from the environment
13,167 in-kind value of food donated to nonprofits
3 nonprofits supported/ food rescues completed

In 2025, VFR volunteers delivered over 1.7 million pounds of rescued food to Metro Vancouver nonprofits.
