On May 6th, Small Pond Entertainers accepted two grants from the Community Fund and the Kiwanis Club of Cobalt Fund to support their summer theatre program. This program is a great employer of local students, and incredible opportunity for young kids to strut their stuff on the stage. Follow their socials for updates on registration and their end of summer performances.

Le 6 mai, la troupe Small Pond Entertainers a reçu deux subventions du Fonds communautaire et du Fonds du Kiwanis Club de Cobalt pour soutenir son programme de théâtre d'été. Ce programme est un excellent employeur pour les étudiants de la région et offre une formidable opportunité aux jeunes de se produire sur scène. We will be attending this event, with information gathered from our Vital Signs Reports, as well as grant opportunities for non profits and other eligible organizations working to assist those experiencing homelessness or working to prevent homelessness. Come by and say "hello"!

On May 6th, the McGarry Public Library / Bibliothèque publique de McGarrry accepted their grant in the amount of $5,000 from the Community Fund, to install a ramp to improve accessibility to the library. This was their first time receiving a grant from the Community Fund. Congratulations!

Le 6 mai, la Bibliothèque publique de McGarrry a reçu une subvention de 5 000 $ du Fonds communautaire pour l’installation d’une rampe d’accès. C’était la première fois qu’elle recevait une subvention du Fonds communautaire. Félicitations !

📣 Huge News for McGarry Public Library!

We are incredibly grateful to receive $5,000.00 from The Temiskaming Foundation!

This funding will go directly toward purchasing and installing a new accessible ramp at our library.

Accessibility is vital to our community. This addition ensures that everyone can safely and easily visit whether to browse books, use computers, attend programs, or simply drop in to see what's new.

A massive thank you to The Temiskaming Foundation for supporting local spaces and investing in our library's future! 📚❤️

On May 6th, we gathered at the Englehart Curling Club to celebrate the incredible organizations that make our communities great places to live. Over the coming weeks, we will share their stories.

Le 6 mai, nous nous sommes réunis au club de curling Englehart pour célébrer les organismes exceptionnels qui font de nos communautés des endroits où il fait bon vivre. Au cours des prochaines semaines, nous partagerons leurs histoires.

First up, we have the Armstrong Public Library/La bibliothèque publique du canton d'Armstrong who received a grant from our Community Fund to replace flooring in the library. Be sure to visit this gem of a library, located in Earlton.

Thank you Temiskaming Foundation! This generous grant will used to replace part of the library floor.

Our grants provide funding to help with a variety of organizational needs. Registered charities, non-profit organizations, municipalities, first nations and other agencies are eligible to apply for these grants.  We cannot accept grant applications from businesses or individuals.

A few years ago, the Temiskaming Foundation made two grants from the Alexa Corneil Fund and the For Kids Sake Fund to support the Bike Exchange Program. What an incredible to testament to the power of dedicated volunteers that this program continues to go strong each and every year.
