This Volunteer Appreciation Week, we extend our sincere thanks to the many individuals—and the countless clubs and organizations—who give their time and energy to strengthen our community.
Volunteering is a selfless act. It isn’t always easy, and it’s rarely just “rainbows and sunshine.” It takes patience, resilience, and a willingness to show up even when the work is challenging. That’s what makes it so meaningful.
Across our tri-community, we’re supported by a network of dedicated groups and organizations working together toward a shared goal: building a stronger, more connected place for everyone.
Together, you are helping build the social infrastructure that holds our community together—the relationships, supports, and spaces that allow people to connect, belong, and thrive. The impact of this collective effort is already being felt, including the development of a much-needed childcare centre that will support local families for years to come.
A strong community doesn’t happen by accident—it’s built through collaboration, commitment, and care. Our volunteers, alongside the many organizations that stand behind them, are at the core of that effort.
Thank you for the work you do, for the time you give, and for helping build something that truly matters.
