Camp Koolaree

Camp Koolaree Camp Koolaree is a rustic summer camp on beautiful Kootenay Lake. Camp Koolaree will strive to build community through consensus and mutual esteem.

Guiding Principles:

All are valued and welcome to share the experience of Camp Koolaree, regardless of age, gender, sexual orientation, race, national origin, economic status, family status or faith tradition. We are part of the ongoing miracle of creation and strive to make our actions harmonious with the world in present and future. Camp Koolaree will strive to help campers grow socially, physi

cally, emotionally and spiritually while having fun. Camp Koolaree will promote a safe and compassionate environment where all can contribute without worrying about bullying, competition, exclusion or denigration. Camp Koolaree provides an environment that is Christian in influence, not emphasis, respecting all faith traditions and focusing on values rather than doctrine. Camp Koolaree will foster the understanding that the principles learned at camp apply to campers regular lives as well and that they can use them after they leave to help create a happier and healthier world for all.

The camping season is quickly approaching!

Our Novice camp currently does not have enough campers to run and the cut off is Friday the 26th to register. If you or anyone you know is on the fence about registering, this is your sign!

All our other camps have enough campers to run but there is still space if you want to join in on the fun! The cut off for all other camps is June 30th.

The Campership fund still has funds available to support campers. As always, camp is for everyone. If financial hardship is preventing you from coming to camp, please reach out to apply for a campership. ❤️🏕️

Koolaree is in need of Large coolers for dry storage in our kitchen. We are seeking 100L or Larger. They do not have to be pretty. They just need them to be sealable to keep away animals and so our food stays fresh.
