ETA weekly bike ride: Let’s go bike Mountain Walk on Wednesday Sept 23rd! Let’s meet at the Trail head by the water tower just before the ski hill parking lot for a 5h30pm. This is moderate difficulty, out and back ride. Dress for the weather! Join us!

ETA weekly hike: Because we love it sooo much, let’s go hike the new trail by the elementary school again! This is an easy family friendly, 2 hrs, 10 km hike. Let’s meet at the Rocky Mountain Elementary school parking lot for a 5h30pm start on Monday Sept 21st! Join us!

ETA weekly bike ride: Join us this Wednesday Sept 16th at the Esso for a 6pm start! We’ll ride Rocksteady and Shredder, this is a 300 m climb followed by a nice flowy jumpy trail!

ETA weekly hike: Join us this Monday September 14th at the Rocky Mountain Elementary school for a 6pm start to hike the new trail that takes us to Boivin Hut! This is a very fun, easy, family friendly and beautiful hike! While you hike, think of a name as there is a naming contest coming!

Now that our new trail build is complete, we are looking for a name for it!

A bit about the trail:
The trail start/finishes at Wapiti Ski Hill and start/finishes near Elkford’s elementary and secondary schools. The trail is roughly 8 km and passes Boivin cabin at its halfway point. There are several bridges, one crosses Boivin Creek and another crosses Wildcat Creek. The new trail also crosses the Elkford Nordic ski track in the Winter. It is strictly for non-motorized use and will be groomed in the winter for fat biking and snowshoeing.

Please submit your trail name idea to [email protected] by September 20th. Must be a current member of the ETA to submit a name, and you may submit as many names as you’d like. The winning name will be announced at the official trail opening the week following.
