🔥 First Weekly Group Ride — Shredder Lap(s)! 🔥We’re kicking off the season the right way with some Shredder laps! Join us at the river end of the ESSO parking lot for a 7PM rollout on Wednesday, June 10th. We’ll climb up Bebop, drop into a lap, and go back for seconds if you’re feeling it (easy to peel off after one).
💥 Youth welcome! Younger riders are asked to have an adult join them (doesn’t have to be a parent). Parents—bring your kids, their friends, and let’s build the next crew!
Let’s get a solid group out and start the season strong 🤘

Shredder Update 🚵‍♂️
Thanks for your patience while Mother Nature did her thing and dried out the upper section of Shredder. The extra snowpack and rain made for a challenging spring, but our volunteer maintenance crew put that time to good use—focusing on improving drainage throughout the area while the bottom was riding 👌.
These upgrades will help manage water flow and keep the trail riding better, longer into the future. 💪🌲Ribbon has been removed from the top of the trail, but please continue to ride with caution and Pre-ride, re-ride before free-riding.

Are you interested in leading group hikes or mountain bike rides for the ETA? If so, please get in touch with us, we'd like you to join us for a few weeks first so you can get a feel for things and ask any questions you might have. Please contact Edith at [email protected] Edith Morasse

This is a volunteer position, and hikes are typically 6:30-8pm Monday and rides are typically 7-8:30pm Wednesdays.
We are looking to get rolling soon!

🚵‍♀️🚵‍♂️ Kootenay Crusher Highlights! 🚵‍♂️🚵‍♀️
The ETA is pumped to see three riders from Elkford competing at the 2nd Annual Kootenay Crusher this past Saturday, May 9, in Sparwood!
The event was hosted by Sparwood Secondary School and took racers out onto the local trails, which were in top form thanks to the Sparwood Trails Alliance . Riders raced two enduro heats, with overall standings based on their combined times.

🔥 On the Podium:
🥉Taya (Elkford Secondary School ) — 3rd Overall, Open girls
🥈 Isaac (The Fernie Academy) — 2nd Place, Bantam Boys
👏 A big shoutout to Declan, representing Elkford Secondary School, who rode strong and showed great determination on course.

🚲 Elkford Secondary School has a Mountain Bike Club for students interested in riding and building skills on the trails—great to see opportunities like this available locally.

Proud of all our riders for their hard work, sportsmanship, and trail stoke! 💪🌲

Happy Mother’s Day!

TMNT Trail Update: Most trails are drying up nicely and riding great. The only area to avoid is the top of Shredder, which is still too wet—please use the Shredder Connector instead. Cowabunga has a tree down across the trail and a few wet spots, but it’s still passable. Let us know if you’re able to clear it before we get there.
