I’ve been struggling to find the right words for this announcement so I’ll start with thank you. For your support, your trust, and your love. For bringing so much joy to my summers and sharing nature with me. And yet.. everything has a season.

Paddle it Forward will be going on an indefinite hiatus. To be completely honest my time, energy and passion are being pulled in other directions and I am someone who likes to give 100% to things. Renewing my certification was going to be a logistical & financial hurdle that I truthfully just couldn’t find the drive to do with everything else on my plate. I’m not saying it’ll be forever, but at least for now. Thank you for sharing your summer days with me, it meant the world ❤️.

I hope to see you out on the water sometime soon. Be safe and have fun!

My heart goes out to the family and friends of these individuals. A shocking reminder of the importance of wearing a life jacket and why they’re not optional when paddling with PIF. Strong swimming skills are only helpful if you’re conscious or not injured.

We’re switching things up! This summer for the kids sessions we will be paddling out of Little Melon Lake 🍉 at Sheffield Conservation Area in Erinsville.

Why the change?
• No motorized water craft (safety first) 🛶
• Typically impacted less by the winds 💨
• Less busy than Neville’s ✌️
• Change of scenery 🏞️

Sheffield also has a beautiful hike with some stunning views, giving parents and other family members a chance to enjoy nature at the same time!

This decision wasn’t made lightly but we’ve chosen to cancel the remaining sessions for the 2024 season. In the spirit of transparency I share with you all that I, Kelly, have been on a personal journey of becoming a surrogate and I’ve recently had an embryo transfer. Things are progressing and I need to set some boundaries for myself and take some extra precautions to ensure the best possible outcome for the intended parents.

We look forward to spending the season on the water with the kids all year but the physical and mental load of running the program is just too much this summer. My body and my brain are at capacity.

We are so appreciative of your understanding and support. We are going to be spending this summer planning, organizing and reviewing our current programming. We will be back next summer and can’t wait to see you all!

Due to some unanticipated restrictions after a recent procedure, all sessions until July 18th will be cancelled. My most sincere apologies for this inconvenience and abrupt cancellation. We will do everything possible to ensure we get everyone out on the water this summer ❤️

🌅Whether you’re looking to learn a new skill or for a relaxing evening on the water, our Adult Sunset SUP sessions have got you covered. These sessions are by donation aka “pay what you can” and include all equipment, safety gear and a certified instructor (or 2!) as your guide.

These sessions help offset the costs of our free youth programs by covering expenses of equipment, insurance, and administrative fees. Thank you so much for your support! ❤️
