The Nanton Promoters The Nanton Promoters is non-profit service club in Nanton, Alberta whose primary focus is to support, promote and enhance the community of Nanton.

The Nanton Promoters is non-profit service club in Nanton, Alberta whose primary focus is to support, promote and enhance the community of Nanton (both urban and rural). We pay particular attention to the youth of our community. The club raises funds through various means and then redistributes the funds to individuals, organizations and causes upon receiving requests for assistance. The members o

f the club approve eligible requests for funding prior to issuing payment. We have supported local youth sports clubs, community projects such as playgrounds, community hall and skating rink renovations, aspiring Olympic athletes, school literacy projects, scholarships and many others.

Another fantastic Nanton Days weekend! The Promoter's annual golf tournament was a huge success on Friday. The Promoters and Boosters teamed up again to bring in Fireworks Spectaculars to provide the fireworks show on Sunday night. The Promoters were out in force again on Monday at the parade, and of course, the Duck Race was held Monday afternoon. Thank you to everyone for participating and helping to make this community so special! All funds raised by the Promoters goes back into this community. We couldn't do it without the support of the community and local businesses!

Thanks to the Nanton Golf Club for hosting the Brent McRae Challenge between the Promoters, Boosters and Stavely Elks/Royal Purple. Brent McRae was a tireless supporter of our community and members of these service clubs continually dedicate themselves to this same role. We gathered together on the links to enjoy one of Brent's passions. A great evening was had by all.

The Nanton Promoters are excited to pump the tires of this young man. This is Bentley Hall and it's his very first year in 4-H. Come bid on his animal and fill your freezer with top quality, premium beef! Good luck on your first Achievement Day Bentley!

About my project: This year I have a market steer named Giuseppe. He is a Red Angus Simmental X that I purchased from Timber Ridge Land and Cattle in Stavely. Giuseppe loves long brushes and is always curious about what project we are working on, on the farm. He especially likes checking out all the heifers when I'm walking him. As this is my first year of 4-H I didn't know what to expect going into it but every day I enjoy it more. It is amazing how much you can learn in 8 months. He has grown from a little calf into a huge steer in a short time. Giuseppe is fed a top quality ration daily to produce premium Alberta beef for your freezer and I look forward to seeing you on our show and sale day.
I would like to thank Glen and Kelly Hall for their guidance in purchasing my steer.

The Nanton Promoters Group is excited to cheer on William Lowe as he shows his first lamb this 4-H season!

William has worked hard preparing his project, learning new skills, and stepping up to try new things along the way. It’s always great to see young people challenge themselves and grow through the 4-H program.

And while the Lowe family is well-known for raising beef cattle… somehow William still decided a 4-H lamb project sounded like a good idea too! We’re not sure if the sheep convinced him or if he just wanted to keep his family on their toes — but we love seeing his enthusiasm for all things agriculture. 🐑🐄

Best of luck to William at the show — the Nanton Promoters are proud to support you and all your hard work!

My 4-H favorite activity: So far my favourite 4-H activity has been taking care of my sheep at my home.
About my project: This is my first year in 4-H. My project is my sheep named Wilfred, and her twin Emma. I purchased my sheep from Hue Hodgson. They are both Suffolk Sheep. My sheep like to chase me around the pen, they also really like to climb on their dirt hill. I feed them Lamb Grower, Hay, and as a treat I give them Beet Pulp which they go crazy for.
