SUPPORT FOR DYLAN BUSH AND FAMILY – PORT DOVER

USW Local 8782 is asking our members and the broader community to support Brother Dylan Bush of STELCO Yard Services and his family, who have suffered a devastating house fire at their home in Port Dover. This is an extremely difficult situation, made even more challenging at this time of year.

A GoFundMe has been established to assist the family as they work to recover and rebuild. Any support—whether through a donation or by sharing the link—is sincerely appreciated.

📣 Standing Up for Stelco Nanticoke Workers

Bobbi Ann Brady is speaking up loud and clear — calling out Premier Doug Ford to take real action for Stelco Nanticoke workers and the entire steel industry.

For too long, Ontario steelworkers have been left behind while foreign steel floods our projects. It’s time for the Ontario government to stand up for Canadian-made steel and protect good-paying union jobs right here at home. 🇨🇦

📣 STANDING UP FOR CANADIAN STEEL JOBS 🇨🇦

Union leaders and steelworkers gathered in Windsor, Ontario on Friday, October 10, calling for stronger action to protect Canadian steel jobs and ensure Canadian-made steel is used in local projects — including the E.C. Row expansion.

Locals USW 8782 and USW 1005 Executives were proud to stand shoulder to shoulder with our Stelco customers and allies in the fight for fair trade, local production, and Canadian jobs.

🛠️ Our message is clear: Build Canada with Canadian steel.

📚✏️ A big thank you to FirstOntario Credit Union for collecting back-to-school stationery in support of our Backpack Program.

Through their collection of back-to-school stationery, we were able to deliver additional supplies today to the Salvation Army in Simcoe. These contributions will assist families in our community and ensure students are prepared for the year ahead.

Solidarity in action is about more than the workplace — it’s about strengthening our communities. We thank FirstOntario for standing with us. 👏
