Silly Boat Regatta The next Silly Boat Regatta will be held July 18, 2027, at Maffeo Sutton Park in Nanaimo. See you there!

Since 1967, the Nanaimo Child Development Centre has been helping central island children from birth to 19 years of age and their families. As an agency with CARF accredited programs, we are governed by a volunteer Board of Directors with a staff of over 60 dedicated individuals, we operate primarily from our Centre located at 1135 Nelson St. Our services are based on the philosophy that children have the right to quality services which facilitate their optimum development , and that early recognition and prompt intervention can enhance a child’s ability. We provide services to nearly 1800 children and their families and have served over 13,000 children through the years!

Mazzei Electric always brings great energy to the Silly Boat Regatta, and this year their youthful spirit earned them the Li'l Tuck Trophy! Thank you Mazzei Electric for your support, participation and sponsorship!

We stopped by Mazzei Electric yesterday to present one of our favourite Silly Boat Regatta trophies – the Li'l Tuck Award for youth spirit. Team Mazzei made boat-building a family affair! Thanks again to Mazzei Electric, a longtime participant at our event and one of our 40th Anniversary Sponsors, for being part of a great day on the waterfront!
