Silly Boat Regatta The 40th Anniversary Nanaimo Silly Boat Regatta will be held July 19, 2026.

Since 1967, the Nanaimo Child Development Centre has been helping central island children from birth to 19 years of age and their families. As an agency with CARF accredited programs, we are governed by a volunteer Board of Directors with a staff of over 60 dedicated individuals, we operate primarily from our Centre located at 1135 Nelson St. Our services are based on the philosophy that children

have the right to quality services which facilitate their optimum development , and that early recognition and prompt intervention can enhance a child’s ability. We provide services to nearly 1800 children and their families and have served over 13,000 children through the years!

The Nanaimo Child Development Centre's Child and Youth Development Teen Volunteer Group is holding a bottle drive the next two Fridays, June 5 and June 12, from 2:30-4 p.m. in the NCDC's south parking lot off Grant Street.
