The Cancer Sword Art Project is a THREE PART PROJECT. PART ONE ~ Create the Cancer Sword out of hair from a wig, two wish bones, and a recycle sword hilt. Bronze Everything and then assemble all the parts into THE CANCER SWORD. IT'S TIME TO FIGHT BACK!! Awareness, Education, Volunteering your time, Financial Support, anything it take to help. CURE and ending CANCER, ONE AND FOR ALL !! The Cancer Sword was found on the OLD logo of The Canadian Cancer Society, and was an armament that was used to representing every Cancer patient’s personal fight to the death. Since the Cancer Society removed it from their Logo, and decide to use the wonderful Daffodil in stead. I decided to take the sword idea and create this REAL Cancer Sword. All the part of this Fantastic Sword has been Bronzed to preserve and protect the pieces. The Sword is 46" long and the blade is 36" long with a hilt from a real sword and decorated to show off the name. "CANCER SWORD"
The Blade is made from a REAL Wig of Long Hair that is 46" long and has been Braided.
~ Represents the pain, suffering and loss of freedom, that people how have to live with Cancer go through, as well as the lost of hair through treatment that comes to many people with Cancer. The Sword Blade has been plated in Bright Copper.
~ Represents the everlasting brilliant effort that the medical profession puts out every year for the cure to cancer. The two small REAL Wish Bones.
~ Represent all the wishes, hopes and prayers that we all put out for a cure to this terrible disease. Completion ~ (TOOK TWO YEARS)
PART TWO ~ Take the Cancer Sword to any event that is held to raise Awareness, Money, Help and Support for the fight against Cancer. There, People can get their picture taken with the Cancer Sword, like you did and their picture will go toward the final Art~Piece and if asked can help collect donations to help raise money for the fight. I am taking pictures of people holding the Cancer Sword will be put toward a LARGE ART PIECE. I will be making this large art piece, out of around 1000 pictures of People, who are Survivors, Supporter and People fighting Cancer holding the Cancer Sword. Your picture along with others will be shrunk down and placed along side others that will from a distance produce a large picture to enjoy. I have finished the CANCER SWORD and have launched the Cancer Sword group. I will be offering any Club, Group, and Organizations, who devote their efforts to Cancer Awareness and Support Cancer Causes, like The Ride for Dad, Terry Fox Run, Breast Cancer Awareness and others to use the Cancer Sword at their events. Every event that allows the Cancer Sword to be show at, will be receiving ANY & ALL money raised. The Picture that can be taken will be for a donation only and through people getting their picture taken with the Sword, I hope to raise good money to help these Organizations. I hope to soon be creating Special backdrops but I allow the clubs to use their own backdrop if wanted. This is a FREE service to help organizations to raise money and Help educate people about Cancer. I just have to be given a good heads up and I will arrange everything ease.
