Moose International Grants Reopen at the End of June
President Lynn Barnes, Vice President Gloria Schmitke and Past President Joan Marion will be attending the Oklahoma Moose Convention June 29- returning July 4. We will definitely attend this session on grants. Moose International has helped us this past year with Two grants.( the Lodge signage grant and a lodge local marketing grant )

The Moose International Board of Directors has approved three grant programs for the 2026-27 Moose fiscal year totaling $3,000,000.

Lodge Grant Program

$2.0M is approved for grants that go towards infrastructure and improvement grants intended to make the lodge homes more comfortable and attractive for current and future members. Grants may be issued for up to $25,000 and can be used for projects such as painting, HVAC work, roofing, parking lot refurbishment, landscaping, patios and decks, children’s play equipment, kitchen equipment, social quarters and lodge furniture, etc.

Local Marketing Grant Program

$500,000 is earmarked towards lodges actively promoting themselves within their local communities with the purpose of attracting new members. Projects include, but are not limited to, youth team sponsorships, fair and festival participation, sports days/nights at local ballparks, radio, newspaper or billboard advertising, child or senior ID events, and Tommy Moose BOGO participation. Grants cap at $3,000 per lodge.

Lodge Signage Grant Program

$500,000 is approved for grants to refurbish, update or replace existing permanent signs on or near the lodge property. There is also a $3,000 limit per lodge for this program.

Applications open for all three programs on Monday, June 29th and can only be found on the administrator’s dropdown menu on LCL web. Lodges may apply for one, two or all three of the programs above as long as they meet these minimum requirements:

Attendance at the 2026 International Moose Convention. At least one member representing the lodge needs to be scanned into an official meeting of The Moose in OKC for the lodge to qualify for grant consideration.

Attendance at your Association 2025 Annual Meeting. At least one representative from your lodge must have attended your Association’s 2025 Fall Annual Meeting.

Attendance at your Association 2026 Midyear Meeting. At least one representative from your lodge must have attended your Association’s 2026 Midyear Meeting.

Note that there may be additional requirements (membership, fraternal record, charitable giving, etc.) that may be taken into consideration when evaluating applications.

The Local Marketing and Signage Grant Programs will remain open as long as there are funds available or the fiscal year ends, whichever comes first. The Lodge Grant applications will close on Friday, July 31st.

There will also be a Grant Workshop at 2:30pm on Wednesday, July 1, 2026 (and repeated at 4pm) at the International Moose Convention in OKC that Moose International encourages everyone to attend.
