Arrow Lakes Better at Home Arrow Lakes Better at Home is a program designed to help seniors live independently in their own homes while staying connected to their communities.

Arrow Lakes Better at Home is hosted in Nakusp, Burton, Fauquier and Edgewood by Arrow and Slocan Lakes Community Services. We are funded by the Government of British Columbia and managed by the United Way of the Lower Mainland. If you are 65+ and need help with services such as light housekeeping, light home maintenance, light yard work and/ or snow removal we may be able to help you! Services ar

e offered by paid staff, paid contractors and volunteers. Better at Home does not provide medical care or personal care. We operate on a sliding fee scale, and payment is based on the senior's income and their ability to pay. Some seniors will qualify for partial or full subsidy.
