Here you will find information about who we are, the services we offer, volunteer activities, and any other related information dedicated to supporting our community of Nain The Nain CARE (Community Assistance Relief Efforts) Committee was established in 1989 by Joan Dicker, Sophie Ford, Sarah Webb, Mary White, and later joined by Nancy Winters and Sue Webb, throughout it's establishment until 202
4 other Committee Members included Pauline Dicker, Regina Dicker, Simon Kohlmeister, and Kathy Ford. The Committee Members volunteered countless hours and dedicated their time to fundraise and support many Nainimiut during challenging times as well as the Nain Moravian Church. The Nain CARE Committee was lead by Joan Dicker, a strong leader and advocate for our community, language, and culture. In September 2025, to honour Joan's request and the efforts made by the previous Committee, Nain CARE was incorporated into a nonprofit organization that remains focused on supporting Nainimiut and the Nain Moravian Church, with the goal of expanding into language and cultural programming and poverty relief. is a funding-and-volunteer based organization that aims to provide support to encourage and promote the social welfare, wellbeing, language, and culture of Inuit in our community.
