How I love this museum, it's like a giant puzzle. Cataloging this lovely little vanity tray. Neat. Whatever. Look closer!! "Souvenir of Mortlach Sask"

These trays were made from 1850-1914. Perhaps this was a dish from the hotel? Perhaps a gift bought from Mr Hodge's Red and White Store (later McKee's 😉).

So much to find in the Mortlach Museum !

Decoration Day is this Sunday June 8. Decoration Day was the day of remembrance for Canadian soldiers before Remembrance Day was created. It's a beautiful tradition of tidying the graves of soldiers and laying flowers on them.

The Moose Jaw Legion holds a beautiful service at the Rosedale ceremony in Moose Jaw that all are invited to attend.
