Out of Africa Animal Sanctuary

Out of Africa Animal Sanctuary is located in Rivière Qui Barre in Rural Alberta. Our sanctuary is 100% volunteer run.

Together we aim to offer sanctuary and rehabilitation to some of our most vulnerable animals but to educate and support our youth.

WE NEED YOUR HELP!

Sturgeon County is hosting the Sturgeon County Mayor's Golf Tournament at Sturgeon Valley Golf & Country Club on Thursday, June 25 and the team at Out of Africa Animal Sanctuary will be there! For two reasons:

1. This year, proceeds from the tournament will support three incredible local organizations and we are one of them! So grateful ❤️

2. You’ll also catch us at one of the golf holes with an incredible giveaway of an igloo cooler full of liquor & Out of Africa Animal Sanctuary swag (Summer barbecue parties are coming!)

Here’s where we need your help: we need donations of new unopened liquor, wine, craft beer to fill our cooler! All golfer giveaway entries will also give the farm a donation that we will use to care for the 80+ animals in our care.

**🐾 Urgent Help Needed: Lost Dogs Fraser and Jeffrey 🐾**

Dear Farm and Volunteer Community,

With heavy hearts, we reach out to you today as we search for our beloved dogs, Fraser and Jeffrey. It has now been a week since Fraser went missing and, as if that weren't heartbreaking enough, Jeffrey has been gone for the past three days.

Both dogs were last seen near Rivière Qui Barre, around Township Road 554 and Range Roads 271 and 272. We have left no stone unturned in our search efforts. We’ve spoken with local law enforcement and animal organizations, and we are actively putting up posters and canvassing the area — but we need your help.

Every day without them feels like an eternity, and our hearts are heavy with worry. These dogs are not just pets; they’re cherished members of our family. Fraser’s joyful spirit and Jeffrey’s loyal companionship bring light into our lives. The thought of them being alone and scared tears us apart.

We know this community is incredible, and we are grateful for any assistance you can offer. If you have seen Fraser or Jeffrey, or if you have any information that might lead us to them, please reach out. No questions asked; we simply want them home safe.

Thank you for your compassion and support during this difficult time. Your help means the world to us, and we will continue searching tirelessly until they are back where they belong.
