We are honoured to be a part of such an important event in Smithers 💜 The toxic drug crisis doesn’t affect anyone in isolation—it impacts us all. Join us at Bovill Square on August 31st as we come together to show our support for International Overdose Awareness Day and remember those we have lost, support those affected, and work toward a safer, healthier community 💜
💜 International Overdose Awareness Day: August 31st
If you follow our page, you’ve probably heard us talk about nurse Caitie before.
Caitie is a registered nurse, a trusted community partner and someone who regularly helps connect people with care and support.
This year, she is organizing our local International Overdose Awareness Day event. This is a day to come together, remember the people we have lost and support those who are still here.
As Caitie reminds us, behind the numbers are our spouses, siblings, parents, children, friends and coworkers.
Her hope is that everyone who attends leaves with something more than they arrived with; hope, closure or knowledge. 💜
