Morden Area Foundation

Morden Area Foundation The Foundation enables donors big and small to help improve Morden and the surrounding area through charitable giving.

The Morden Area Foundation was established in 1993 by a group of community leaders who shared the conviction that when a group of individuals come together and work for a common good, they can bring positive, lasting change to communities. MAF is a charitable organization that manages and invests gifts from individuals, families, and other organizations. The interest earned on these gifts is retur

ned to our community, supporting local charities through financial grants. Since our humble beginnings in 1993, over $1,400,000 has been invested permanently with the Foundation. This endowed fund has earned more than $700,000 which has been distributed to more than 50 organizations dedicated to improving the quality of life in Morden. People from all walks of life have trusted the Morden Area Foundation with their gifts and their best wishes for the community. When you give a gift to the Foundation, you’re giving a gift that gives forever, and helps ensure a bright future for Morden and the surrounding communities.

🌱 Community Spotlight: at MCI

We’re happy to share this local Youth in Philanthropy initiative supporting sustainable agriculture and community giving.

Students are raising funds by growing three varieties of organic tomatoes — cherry, roma, and beefsteak mortgage lifter tomatoes. This project brings together learning, local food, and youth-led community impact.

If you’d like to support them, pre-orders are open until June 15.

Every small act of support helps young people grow confidence, leadership, and a stronger connection to our community.

Plant. Grow. Give. Together. 🌿

Yesterday, we celebrated the Grand Opening of the Stanley Community Pathway Today, we’re sharing a few more moments from this special milestone.

This pathway is more than just a trail connecting Morden and Winkler. It is the result of years of planning, collaboration, generosity, and community support. Many residents, businesses, organizations, and donors believed in this vision and helped make it a reality.

Now, we can all enjoy the benefits — whether it’s walking, running, cycling, commuting, or simply spending more time outdoors and exploring our region. The pathway creates new opportunities to stay active, connect with our neighbours, and enjoy the beautiful Pembina Valley.

Thank you to everyone who supported this project, contributed, donated, volunteered, and helped turn a shared community vision into reality. Because of your support, this pathway is now something our entire community can enjoy.

We’re proud to be part of a community that comes together to make projects like this possible. 💚🚶‍♀️🚴‍♂️

Many people in our community have heard the name Morden Area Foundation — but not everyone knows what we actually do.

We are here to support local initiatives, community programs, events, and projects that help make Morden a stronger and more connected place.

Behind every event, collaboration, and initiative are people who care deeply about this community — and we’re proud to help support that work.

Thank you for being part of this journey with us 🤍

Good neighbours are not only people. 💙

This Pay It Forward May, we’re reminded that animals are our neighbours too.

Many animals in our community are facing tough times, and thanks to caring people and organizations, they’re given a second chance.

It’s a simple reminder that kindness can reach every corner of our community — including the ones with paws.

More kindness. More care. More good neighbours.

Let’s be the neighbours they’re counting on. 🐾
