Today, five of our firefighters participated in the 9/11 memorial stair climb. With another 5 showing up to support and help count the 2,200 steps our firefighters took to honour the 343 firefighters who made the ultimate sacrifice on September 11, 2001. They climbed towards the danger with courage, and strength. We climbed to remember those and honour their legacy. Thank you to every firefighter who participated. Your hard work and heart help keep the legacy of 9/11 alive, one step at a time.

If you would like to support the efforts of the Moosonee Fire Volunteer Department, we are fundraising for the Wounded Warriors Foundation. Every dollar makes a difference. Please consider visiting our fundraising page at https://www.justgiving.com/page/moosonee-first-responders?utm_medium=FR&utm_source=CL

We'd also like to extend a thank you to Northern Lights Secondary School for allowing us to use their stairwells for this amazing cause.

On behalf of the Moosonee Volunteer Fire Department we would like to extend our greatest appreciation for all the community members who helped support our work these past two days at the fire scene on Revillon. From everyone who detoured around to give us the space we needed, the very generous food donations, Todd Ruben for plowing a path for us to work, and the quick town support to help with our water needs. Thank you, Thank you, Thank you.
