Mission Statement

To reduce the at-large feral cat population in Moose Jaw through primarily non-lethal control; to stabilize the feral cat population in the community; and to promote responsible pet ownership and compassion for feral cats in the community. Description

Band City Stray Cat Rescue and Protection Society Inc. (SCRAPS) is a non-profit organization of concerned volunteers who are co

mmitted to stablizing the feral cat population in the City of Moose Jaw through primarily non-lethal methods. We humanely trap feral cats, neuter/spay and vaccinate, and then release healthy animals back into the community. We support feral cat colonies by providing shelters, feeders, and follow-up medical care as required. We promote compassion for feral cats by educating the public about the important role feral cats play in controlling the rodent population.We work with other agencies to find home for those cats identified as adoptable. We promote responsible pet ownership by educating the public about the importance of spaying/neutering pets.

SCRAPS nursery Club intakes are expanding quickly daily &
S T R E C H I N G the seams of our foster care! Each litter of 3, 4 , 5 and recently 9 babies means vet care & forever homes needed for each one.

SCRAPS received calls DAILY asking for help for Cats & kittens. Our proactive TNR program does MORE than just rescue, our mission is in PREVENTION. We do our very best as a non profit group who receives NO current formal funding for work we have been doing for over a decade helping improve the lives & futures for generations of Community Cats.

Introducing a SCRAPS sweet little guy searching for HOME ……

♥️”Colton”♥️

This sweet fellow is known as Colton, and yes, he does recognize his name! Colton has been in foster care since he was only a few weeks old and rescued from an unpleasant situation. He has experienced a lot in his short life.

Nurtured in a loving home with a gentle dog and several cats, he has also spent time at Pet Valu and The Boutique with his siblings who have found their own homes.

Colton is a pretty relaxed cat who loves having a lap to curl up in and friends to play with. He is a solid fellow and will need help to keep from bulking up too much.

Colton is up to date on vaccines and has been neutered. He would appreciate a home that would allow him time to settle into new surroundings and allow his loving and comical personality to blossom!

Searching for a FOREVER HOME for 2 friends ♥️♥️

Arthur & Andreas are 2 friends who were brought into SCRAPS care from a managed colony that is no longer safe for them.

These boys have lived their lives as outdoor Cats but now their luck has changed! They have now been enjoying the safety, comfort and love as indoor kitties.

We are looking for a very quiet and patient home for these 2 sweet buddies where they can live comfortably & continue to blossom. Andreas (black & white) is a senior kitty (but very playful!) who’s about 14 years old, his friend Arthur (tabby) is younger. A home with no other animals or young children would be best for them.

Both kitties are altered, fully vaccinated, as as well as with rabies (certificates provided). They have been dewormed and Microchipped.

Searching for forever - Applications are being accepted for Adoption to the most suitable home that would be best for these very deserving Cats.

Little Chauny is the only SCRAPS kitty available for ♥️ADOPTION at Pet Valu Loewen in Regina. His buddy Chance recently went off to his own forever home. Chauny would be on his own if it wasn’t for Juju, Pet Valu Store, kitty and former rescued SCRAPS Cat!

Thanks, Juju for helping Chauny not feel so lonely until his own forever family comes to get him!

This sweet little boy is ready for a family. Fully vaccinated with rabies certificate, altered, dewormed, and micro chipped.

Chauny is sure hoping forever doesn’t take too long!
