To reduce the at-large feral cat population in Moose Jaw through primarily non-lethal control; to stabilize the feral cat population in the community; and to promote responsible pet ownership and compassion for feral cats in the community. Description

Band City Stray Cat Rescue and Protection Society Inc. (SCRAPS) is a non-profit organization of concerned volunteers who are co

mmitted to stablizing the feral cat population in the City of Moose Jaw through primarily non-lethal methods. We humanely trap feral cats, neuter/spay and vaccinate, and then release healthy animals back into the community. We support feral cat colonies by providing shelters, feeders, and follow-up medical care as required. We promote compassion for feral cats by educating the public about the important role feral cats play in controlling the rodent population.We work with other agencies to find home for those cats identified as adoptable. We promote responsible pet ownership by educating the public about the importance of spaying/neutering pets.

Pet Valu Moose Jaw’s store owner Michelle is well known to have a HEART of GOLD. Always ready to lend a helping hand to homeless animals & a long time SCRAPS dedicated supporter. Generous, caring & a lover of animals, she recently found herself with an armful of adorable, fuzzy, sweet GINGER kittens (3 of 4 are little females)!

Did you know that almost all ginger Cats are males? Golden females are a genetically rarity! Out of our recent 8 kitten rescues, 7 are golden girls! We’ve hit the jackpot!

Five of the sweetest 10 week old SCRAPS kittens arrived recently to “Pet Valu - Lewvan” in Regina!

Store Owner Sam & her team were absolutely thrilled to cuddle & welcome the tiny newcomers who only weeks earlier were rescued as vulnerable, fragile lives brought into the safety of SCRAPS foster care …..

SCRAPS kitty DMH “Mayumi”, our scared 9 month old girl with 3 legs is LOST….

Mayumi is a very scared little Cat who was rescued with a traumatic leg injury that needed amputation. She got out through a screen yesterday morning and
has been last seen on the 1100 block of Chestnut in Moose Jaw.

If you see Mayumi, she will be very afraid and run. Do not attempt to catch her but contact SCRAPS immediately at:

SCRAPS kitty Emmy has been missing in the Coronation Park area in Regina & most recently seen on Hammond Road.

Please monitor your areas and check any places that a scared kitty might take shelter such as sheds, garages, under decks etc.

If you see Emmy, she will be very scared. Please take a photo of her and send to the numbers listed.
