When we are fortunate enough to have resources to share, we do our best to extend that support to other organizations serving people in need. Recently, we were happy to share with Willow Lodge, knowing that every item has the potential to make a difference in someone's day.

Sometimes, community support means looking beyond our own shelves.

At the Moose Jaw & District Food Bank, we believe that when we have enough, we share. Food insecurity is a challenge that no single organization can solve alone, and we are stronger when we work together.

Recently, we were grateful to share feminine hygiene products with the Moose Jaw Transition House because we know these essential items are often needed the most. For individuals and families rebuilding their lives, having access to basic necessities can provide comfort, dignity, and one less worry during a difficult time.

This is what community looks like. It is organizations supporting one another, choosing collaboration over competition, and recognizing that when we work together, we can reach more people in need.

Here's what is most wanted at the Moose Jaw Food Bank this week.

Perishable food items must be donated directly to our Food Bank during operating hours. Dry and canned food donations can be placed in our collection bins located at Giant Tiger, Safeway, Moose Jaw Co-op, and Real Canadian Superstore.

Our donation hours will be Monday to Friday, 9 am to 3 pm. Your support makes a difference, thank you! 🥰

🛍️ Reusable Bags Needed 🛍️

We are currently in need of reusable shopping bags.

If you have extra reusable bags at home that you no longer use, please consider donating them to help support our clients. These bags make a big difference by helping families safely carry their groceries home while reducing waste and keeping our pantry running smoothly.

We would also like to kindly remind all clients with scheduled shopping appointments to please bring your own reusable bags when visiting the food bank. Bringing your own bags helps us serve everyone more efficiently and ensures we can reserve donated bags for those who may need them most.

Donations of clean, used reusable bags can be dropped off at the Moose Jaw & District Food Bank during our regular operating hours.
