🎨🐟 Last week, we announced the winners of the 2026 Fish Artwork Contest… now it’s time to showcase even more of the incredible artwork!

This year’s contest received 439 entries from talented young artists across Saskatchewan. Below are the Top 3 entries from Grades 4, 5, and 6, and WOW, the creativity and detail in these pieces are absolutely amazing! 🎣👏

A huge congratulations again to all of our winners:
🏆 1st place winners will each receive a Saskatchewan Wildlife Federation Fishing Prize Pack, while 2nd and 3rd place winners will receive contest ribbons.

Thank you again to every student, teacher, and school that participated in this year’s contest. We loved seeing Saskatchewan’s fish species brought to life through art! 🐠

The results are in! The 2026 Fish Artwork Contest received an incredible 439 entries from talented young artists across Saskatchewan! 🎣🐟🎨

Saskatchewan residents can enter the 2026 Big Game Draw for an opportunity to hunt mule deer, elk, moose and pronghorn across the province.

• Log in to your HAL account early.
• Use the online residency verification tool.

Applications must be submitted online through the HAL system by 4 p.m. on May 28, 2026. No late entries—no exceptions! Successful applicants can purchase licences starting August 1.

If you have students in Grades 4–6 who love to draw, paint, or get creative, now’s the time to showcase their talent while celebrating Saskatchewan’s incredible fish species.

The 2026 SWF Fish Artwork Contest is officially OPEN! 🐟🎨

Students in Grades 4-6 across Saskatchewan are invited to create an original drawing of a native Saskatchewan fish in its natural habitat for a chance to win an SWF Fishing Prize Pack.

✨ New this year: 3 winners - 1st place in Grade 4, Grade 5, and Grade 6!

Eligible species include Walleye, Yellow Perch, Lake Trout, Northern Pike, Lake Sturgeon, and Arctic Grayling. Artwork must be on 8.5 × 11 paper (no tracing).

🗓 Contest runs April 1-30, 2026
📬 Entries must be postmarked by April 30, 2026

Don’t forget to include the student’s name, grade, teacher, and school with each submission.

🏆 Winning artwork will be featured on SWF social media and in Outdoor Canada West Magazine.
