Now Hiring: Re-entry Clinical Social Worker

DESTA Black Community Network is seeking a Re-entry Clinical Social Worker to provide holistic counseling and psychotherapy services to incarcerated and formerly incarcerated individuals participating in DESTA’s Re-entry Program.

🎯Key Responsibilities
•Conduct psychosocial assessments for individuals preparing for release, in transitional housing, or with a history of criminal justice involvement.
•Support clients with mental health needs using culturally appropriate, trauma-informed approaches.
•Provide crisis intervention, brief therapy, short-term supportive counseling, and psychotherapy.
•Deliver individual and group psychotherapy addressing psychological issues related to incarceration.

Qualifications
•Master’s degree in social work with registration or eligibility for registration with OTSTCFQ, or psychotherapist’s permit with OPQ.
•Minimum 1 year clinical counseling and/or psychotherapy experience, including cognitive and behavioural therapies.
•Skilled in psychological and risk assessments, individual/group therapy, and crisis intervention.

Now Hiring: Re-entry Case Manager

DESTA Black Community Network is seeking a Re-entry Case Manager to provide service navigation, referrals, connections, and supports for participants in legal support, housing, employment, health, mental health, substance use, and other social services. This role advances community reintegration for incarcerated and formerly incarcerated individuals.

🎯Key Responsibilities
• Conduct intake, assessment, case management, consultation, support, and referrals for incarcerated and/or formerly incarcerated clients.
• Deliver intensive, community-based, client-centered, and strengths-based case management to promote successful reintegration.
• Establish and maintain partnerships with organizations in Little Burgundy/Sud-Ouest and Greater Montreal; develop referral networks and tracking systems.

🎓 Qualifications
•Post-secondary education in psychology, sociology, social services, or related discipline.
•Relevant case management experience.
•Experience working with incarcerated/formerly incarcerated individuals or in correctional environments.
•Skilled in case management, counseling, crisis intervention, and group facilitation.
•Proficient in English; French bilingualism is an asset.

DESTA Black Community Network is seeking a Project Coordinator to join the team.

Reporting to the Project Manager, the Project Coordinator provides administrative and operational support to ensure the successful delivery of DESTA’s projects and funded initiatives. This role coordinates day-to-day project activities, maintains documentation, schedules meetings, tracks action items, and supports communication among internal teams and external stakeholders.

🎯Key Responsibilities
•Maintain project files, documentation, templates, and shared resources.
•Coordinate project meetings, workshops, training sessions, and stakeholder engagements.
•Serve as the primary administrative contact for day-to-day project coordination.

🎓Qualifications
•Diploma or bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Project Management, Office Administration, Communications, or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and experience
•1-3 years of experience in project coordination, administration, or office operations
•Proficiency in Microsoft Office and project management software
•Bilingualism in English and French is considered an asset

DESTA Black Community Network is seeking a dedicated and driven Outreach & Partnership Coordinator to join our team.

Reporting to the Partnership & Development Manager, the Outreach & Partnership Coordinator is responsible for building and strengthening relationships with corporate partners, donors, community organizations, and key stakeholders to advance DESTA’s mission.

💼 Position Overview
• Full-time position: 35 hours per week
• Annual salary: $45,000–$48,900
• One-year contract, with the possibility of becoming permanent based on performance

🎯 Key Responsibilities
• Identify and cultivate new corporate, community, and strategic partnership opportunities aligned with DESTA’s mission
• Identify opportunities for sponsorships, corporate giving, employee engagement initiatives, and in-kind donations
• Represent DESTA at networking events, conferences, and community meetings as an ambassador for the organization

🎓Qualifications
• Diploma or bachelor’s degree in Business, Communications, Marketing, Community Development, or a related field (or equivalent experience)
• 1-3 years of experience in partnership development, fundraising, community outreach, business development, or relationship management
• Experience with CRM systems and Microsoft Office is an asset
