This summer, DESTA relaunches our space with Future Frequencies — a season of cultural expression, music, food, artistry, conversation, and intergenerational wisdom shaping Black collective futures.

Grounded in creativity, curiosity, and community, this season invites us to tune into the frequencies that connect, sustain, and move us forward.

We are also excited to relaunch Onyx Lab, unveil new events, welcome a new culture cohort, and introduce you to some incredible new community members soon. 👀

Expect gatherings, creative experiences, and community moments all summer long — culminating in our big Labour Day celebration. New energy. New programming. More details coming soon! 🖤

Using a blend of documentary styles mixed with street art and spoken word, this film is a love letter in honour of Nicholas and the Gibbs family.

The event will feature a screening of the documentary, followed by an expert panel discussion with light refreshments served.
