Ariana Grande opened her Eternal Sunshine Tour in Oakland on June 6 with a Pride-tinged performance of The Boy Is Mine, joined on stage by dancer Kassidy Bright. The moment quickly went viral online.

Following a break to work on the Wicked films, she’s now touring the US before her upcoming 10-show residency at London’s O2 this August.

Happy 87th birthday to the iconic Sir Ian McKellen! Beloved for unforgettable roles like Gandalf in The Lord of the Rings and Magneto in X-Men, McKellen has also been a powerful voice for LGBTQ+ rights. He publicly came out in 1988 while speaking out against Section 28, later opening up about that moment on The Cavett Show. The following year, he helped co-found Stonewall UK.
