Baltimore Art Hives, part 2:
🏛️ Museums, current and future!

The Baltimore Museum of Art hosts a monthly Art Hive on the first Friday of the month thanks to their Education department, at the initiative of local Art Hives pioneer make Studio and in collaboration with the Art Therapy program at Notre Dame of Maryland University.
Don’t miss the next art hive on November 6th!
Thank you to Annie Bobbitt, Director of Multi-Generational Learning and Brandon Slewion, Art Educator for the visit.

The American Visionary Art Museum will also soon begin hosting a monthly art hive, thanks to their amazing and visionary Director of Education, Beka Plum. Stay tuned, you too can soon feel like a butterfly! 🦋

Did you know that there is a thriving Art Hives scene in Baltimore, Maryland?
We were lucky to spend time visiting them these last few days with art therapists Cathy Goucher, Julia Volonts and Jill Scheibler!

make Studio is an incredibly innovative progressive studio for artists with disabilities that has been among the first to join the Art Hives Network 10 years ago! If you happen to be in the area, join them tonight for their monthly pop-up art hive!

The Art Therapy program at Notre Dame of Maryland University and its founding director Cathy Goucher have been teaching Art Hive methods to undergraduate and graduate students and sending them to disseminate the work across the city since 2018! Julia Volonts is now passionately continuing this beautiful mission!

Thank you all for your awesomeness, hospitality and the ongoing precious collaboration! 🐝

PS 🏛️Museum Art Hives post incoming!

Skye Rogers!
