Founded on the belief that the greatness of any city depends on the state of its cultural events and the health of its artistic community, Persephone Productions seeks to acknowledge the importance of theatre in our lives by creating opportunities for young artists to find their place and make a contribution. Created in 2000, Persephone Productions is mandated to provide work experience for young

professional theatre artists in all areas of their expertise. The company is committed to presenting plays that are innovative and of literary and social significance.

On Sunday we closed 𝐓𝐡𝐞 𝐈𝐦𝐩𝐨𝐫𝐭𝐚𝐧𝐜𝐞 𝐨𝐟 𝐁𝐞𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐄𝐚𝐫𝐧𝐞𝐬𝐭 🌸

This 𝗥𝗲𝗽𝗲𝗿𝘚𝘦𝘱𝘩𝘰𝘯𝘦 co-production of our 𝒢𝒾𝒷𝒾𝒶𝓃𝘾𝙖𝙥𝙧𝙞𝙤𝙡𝙤𝑊𝑖𝑙𝑑𝑒 adaptation was a veritable feast collaborative efforts, and we want to take a moment to celebrate our team—and to thank 𝑦𝑜𝑢, our audience, for coming out in record-breaking numbers to revel with us.

Notre Earnest n’aurait pas pu voir le jour sans notre incroyable équipe, ni sans l’enthousiasme de nos spectateurs qui sont venus en si grand nombre.

𝓗𝓮𝓪𝓻𝓽-𝔀𝓪𝓻𝓶𝓲𝓷𝓰 𝓯𝓪𝓬𝓽: 15 years ago, Rebecca and Adam and their dramatic group of friends put on a Summer production of Earnest at Players Theatre at McGill as their first foray into producing theatre. Forever the Algernon to her Gwendolen --and vice-versa-- Adam and Rebecca have yet to break character all these years later. (Daniel Day who?)
You might be asking yourselves, 15 years ago? But they're still in their early twenties--they both must’ve been max nine years old! And ....you’re right. They were.
