GAL represents a new and truly global paradigm which gives professional & emerging artists the opportunity to compete in an annual competition with the grand prize of being the recipient of honor at the annual GAL solo exhibition. GAL seeks to identify, embolden and empower emerging artists worldwide so that their new and innovative ideas are not immediately filtered away by the gatekeepers of the

current conservative and parochial art scene. With GAL recognizing that the prestige of the gallery can sometimes be exclusionary in nature, its goal is to ensure that talented and innovative artists have access to the higher echelons of the art world when they might otherwise be overlooked in these spaces. Working with artists from around the globe and drawing inspiration from street art as well art found on social media, GAL seeks to give a voice to those hitherto left voiceless by the art world.

Bio:
Pastel artist Catherine Blackburn has been exhibiting her work since 1995. A graduate in interior design, she developed her signature technique of varnished pastel on wood, which she calls crystallized pastel.

In 2023, Catherine published EMOTIF, an anthology combining around 50 artworks and poems inspired by a decade of personal challenges. Through exhibitions, workshops, and lectures, she now shares the resilience and healing she has found through art.

Her semi-figurative style blends Expressionism and Symbolism and is defined by flowing curves, vibrant colors, and themes such as women, travel, the city, wine, and individuality. Catherine continues to pursue her career internationally, sharing her distinctive style and technique with a wider audience.

“In order to capture my feelings and the mood I wish to create, I feel the energy and let my inspiration flow onto the wood. I am completely fulfilled seeing the grain of the raw material blend with the pure colors of the pastels, discovering the form of my composition and bringing together lines that intertwine, touch, and blend together to reveal a beautiful, sensual and meaningful work of art.”

Bio:
Aayushi Parekh is an Indian architect and artist based in Canada, with a lifelong connection to art and Indian cultural traditions. Through her practice, Sattva Arts, she explores miniature painting and traditional Indian art forms, bringing together culture, spirituality, poetry, and storytelling.

Her work often draws on historic techniques such as Pichwai painting, using fabric, natural stone pigments, and fine miniature brushes. Through these traditional methods, Parekh creates contemporary interpretations of Indian stories and spiritual themes, aiming to share and preserve India’s artistic heritage within Canada.

Bio:
Born and raised in Haiti, Nickson Morin is a self-taught abstract artist based in Hollywood, Florida. Early in his career, he participated in major art competitions and festivals in South Florida, earning two awards. His work The Pathway of Self-Revived was published in P’AN KU Literary and Art Magazine, and he has exhibited at Studio 18 and Art Beat Miami during Art Basel week.

Morin’s paintings combine expressive geometric forms, symbols, and vibrant colors influenced by ancient African cultures, architecture, and design. His work reflects a deep connection to his origins, using symbolism and color to express ideas and emotions. Inspired by his surroundings, he creates abstract compositions that explore balance, variation, and personal identity.

Bio:
Christiane Lampron habite l'Outaouais depuis plus de 50 ans. Elle s'exprime au moyen de l'acrylique et des techniques mixtes. Elle peint de façon intuitive en laissant libre cours à ce qui l'habite en temps réel. Elle aime peindre de grands formats ce qui permet des gestes amples, une liberté de mouvement et un jeu sans pareil.
Expérimenter avec la couleur, le mouvement, la forme, les textures et la matière jusqu'à ce que jaillisse quelque chose qui lui parle et qui sonne juste pour elle.
Elle puise son inspiration a travers la nature,ses juxtapositions improbables de couleurs, de textures et de jeux de lumières : leurs puissances évocatrices permettent l'expression d'émotions qui ont la capacité de mettre l'âme en mode vibratoire et de nous toucher dans notre être profond.
Elle croit que l'art a ce pouvoir de nous réparer, d'avoir accès à ce qui est inachevé et inexprimé en nous. Cest une aventure passionnante!
Elle a participé a deux expositions solo a Gatineau en 2017 et 2020 ainsi qu'à des expositions collectives a l'espace Pierre Debain a Gatineau en 2024 et en 2025

His practice is deeply informed by a familial history of dislocation and renewal, transforming inherited experiences of departure, endurance, and return into contemplative visual narratives. Often placing solitary figures within expansive, dreamlike environments, Christopher creates spaces where the visible world meets interior experience. His paintings invite sustained attention and quiet reflection, proposing that place is not simply where we live, but where presence, relationship, and remembrance allow us to become more fully ourselves.

Bio :
Artiste canadienne et ukrainienne, Tetyana Nechyporenko (ArtKvitka) crée des œuvres vibrantes inspirées de la Petrykivka, un art décoratif traditionnel ukrainien inscrit au patrimoine culturel immatériel de l’UNESCO.

Formée à l’École d’art de Poltava, elle marie aujourd’hui techniques traditionnelles et approche contemporaine à travers l’huile, l’acrylique et l’aquarelle. Son univers, riche en motifs floraux et symboliques, célèbre la nature, ses racines ukrainiennes et la force de la culture populaire.

Finaliste de plusieurs concours internationaux et exposée au Canada comme en Ukraine, Tetyana revient cette année au Global Art League International Art Competition avec trois œuvres : Prosperous Québec – Tree of Life, Summer Breeze et The Angel is Near.

Bio: Born in Schefferville, Quebec, Bruno Tomei now lives and works in Granby, Quebec.
A self-taught artist, he also received three years of professional guidance from a recognized artist and gallery owner.Bruno’s work reflects a deep dialogue with the animal world, First Nations totems, and the conditions of the northern environment. His sculptures and paintings are created from driftwood, recycled metal, reclaimed fabrics, and mixed textures combining acrylic, metal leaf, and epoxy. Through his art, he seeks to reconnect viewers with nature and the beings that inhabit it, to reveal animal wisdom, and to evoke what the world once offered—what we no longer see today.His dedication goes beyond artistic creation: Bruno contributes to fundraisers, donates works to his community, and organizes raffles to make his art accessible to everyone. His style, imbued with sensitivity and tribal symbolism, reflects the influence of animal totems and First Nations culture, giving life to works that are both powerful and deeply spiritual.

Bio:

I am a Montreal-based multidisciplinary artist. A visual poet who explores the intrinsic relationships in Nature through ink and watercolour. Each piece created is accompanied by a story. A narrative both written and drawn. I am a biologist and the complexity of the natural world has always fascinated me. This fascination has now evolved into different artworks bringing light and shadows to the forefront; life in all its forms interacting and flowing through my pen. In 2025, I collaborated with an English photographer named Nick Robinson; a book of our work was published in Scotland under the title “The Shadow of Divine Perfection”.

We are currently working on a new book that will come out in Fall 2026.

Son travail explore la relation entre perception, nature, dimensions imaginaires et concepts philosophiques. Avec huit expositions individuelles à son actif, Julian poursuit une pratique en constante évolution, nourrie également par l’écriture créative et la poésie.
