When a great man passes, we do not merely mourn the loss of a life: we celebrate the magnitude of his impact. Rest in Peace, Mr. Paidousis
It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of Michael Paidousis, a respected academic, community leader, and proud supporter of the Hellenic community.
Michael Paidousis was a former “Hellene of the Year,” former Honorary Consul to Cyprus, and longtime Professor in the Department of Mechanical Engineering at McGill University’s Faculty of Engineering. Internationally respected in his field, his areas of expertise included aeroelasticity, nonlinear dynamics, fluid-structure interaction, flow-induced vibrations, hydroelasticity, and chaos theory. Through his remarkable academic career, he mentored generations of students and made significant contributions to engineering research and education.
Beyond his professional accomplishments, Michael remained deeply committed to our community, always offering his support, wisdom, and generosity. His contributions and dedication touched the lives of many, and he will be remembered with great respect and gratitude.
