Future World Leaders Future World Leaders is a non profit organization offering leadership programs for youth under government care

Our project began with the passion of 3 educators/social workers working in the field of youth protection partnering up with the Ledership teacher at MacDonald High School to go on a humanitarian trip to India this summer. Together, we took a combined 19 youth on a humanitarian trip to India June 27-July 10, 2017. During our stay in India, we volunteered at the Tender Heart NGO; helping them build

a new pathway as well as working with the children in the school program. In October 2017, we began our leadership program with 8 youths followed by Youth Protection. As a team we are holding bi-weekly sessions with the youth on leadership and engaging in team building activities. We will be hosting several fundraisers until June to raise money for our humanitarian trip to the Dominican Republic. At the end of June 2018 we will be travelling to the D.R. and staying within the community of Consuelo to build a house for a family in need.

Our Story

Our project began with the passion of 3 educators/social workers working in the field of youth protection partnering up with the leadership teacher at MacDonald High School to go on a humanitarian trip to India during the summer of 2017. Together, we took a combined 19 youth on a humanitarian trip to India June 27-July 10, 2017. During our stay in India, we volunteered at the Tender Heart NGO; helping them build a new pathway as well as working with the children in the school program.

After the success of our pilot trip, we recognized that in order to truly effect long term change more needed to be done. So many youth age out of care without strong role models and with limited life skills. As such, we created a full leadership and humanitarian program that will help teach essential life and leadership skills, while also inspiring and empowering them to not only want to improve their own lives but to also want to make a difference in the world.

In October 2017, we began our leadership program with 8 youths followed by Youth Protection. As a team we held bi-weekly sessions with the youths on leadership and engaged in team building activities. We also hosted several fundraisers throughout the year, to raise the funds needed for our end of year humanitarian trip. Then, at the end of June 2018 we embarked on our second humanitarian trip; this time to the Dominican Republic where we stayed in the community of Consuelo and helped build a house for a family in need.
