Camp Cosmos

Camp Cosmos Camp Cosmos is a summer day camp located in the heart of Montreal. We are an Environmental camp that celebrates multiculturalism and diversity!

Camp Cosmos:

A multi-lingual and multicultural camp that promotes connection between children from different backgrounds – from children whose families have been here since time immemorial to children whose families have just arrived

Reaches out to children of single-parent, immigrant, refugee, and Aboriginal families, and of families on low income

Fosters an awareness of justice, self-worth

and mutual respect

Provides a space for children with special needs to enjoy a full camp experience

Connects urban kids with nature, exploring issues around environmental responsibility, and equipping young people with the skills necessary to make this world a greener, healthier place

Encourages active, healthy living

providing children with a safe, structured, and fun place to spend their summer

Offers youth ages 14 to 17, of similar backgrounds to those of our campers, with the opportunity to participate in teamwork and leadership training, while gaining valuable employment-related experience

Le Camp Cosmos a pour but de :

Développer chez les enfants une prise de conscience de la justice, de l'estime personnelle et du respect de l'autre

Rejoindre les enfants provenant de familles monoparentales, d'immigrants, de réfugiés et à faible revenu

Etre un camp multilingue et multiethnique qui s'efforce de promouvoir l'amitié entre les enfants provenant de milieux différents – pour des enfants les familles desquels sont ici depuis toujours comme pour ceux les familles desquels vient d’arriver

Offrir un espace où des enfants ayant des besoins spéciaux peuvent vivre une expérience de camp d'été comme tous les autres enfants

Expliquer aux enfants les enjeux environnementaux et leur donner les connaissances nécessaires pour rendre leur quotidien plus écologique

Offrir aux enfants un endroit sécuritaire, structuré et amusant pendant les vacances d'été
