FREDDY IS SO EASY TO LOVE

Some dogs require a lot of management. Freddy is not one of them.

At 8 years old, Freddy has settled into that wonderful stage of life where he knows who he is and what matters. This handsome German Shorthaired Pointer is calm, steady, friendly, and remarkably easy to live with. He is the kind of dog who slips comfortably into daily life and makes it better simply by being there.

Freddy's story is a sad one. His beloved owner became seriously ill and will not be returning home from the hospital. Through no fault of his own, Freddy is now looking for a new family to love.
Freddy weighs approximately 65 pounds and is in good health. He is neutered, vaccinated, microchipped, and will have a full dental cleaning completed before adoption.

True to his breed, Freddy enjoys getting out for walks and exploring the world around him, but he is not a high-octane dog. His energy level is moderate and manageable. A good walk, some companionship, and a comfortable place to relax are enough to make him happy.

Freddy is exceptionally social. He is friendly with children, welcoming to strangers, and gets along well with other dogs. He approaches life with an easygoing confidence that makes him a pleasure to have around. He is also an excellent passenger in the car, riding quietly and making outings easy and enjoyable.

Despite his size, Freddy is a quiet, well-mannered dog who could adapt well to apartment living, provided he receives his daily walks, trips to a park and companionship. That said, his ideal home would include a deck, patio, or fenced yard where he can spend time outdoors, soaking up the fresh air and following interesting scents to his heart's content.

For someone looking for a mature, well-rounded companion, Freddy offers something increasingly rare: simplicity. No drama.
Freddy is hoping to find a home where he can once again belong to someone.

COCO LIKES A SIMPLE LIFE

UPDATE FROM FOSTER: He’s settling really well, can stay alone for several hours, has started playing, is very affectionate once comfortable, and has a really sweet, snuggly side!!! 🐾💕

Coco is a small dog with a clear preference for keeping life simple. He is affectionate, observant, and happiest in a calm, predictable environment with his person close by.
He appears to be an Italian Greyhound / Chihuahua mix (often called a Greyhuahua), with long legs and folded rose-shaped ears.

Coco is very intelligent and quick to learn. He picks up routines fast, reads patterns well, and does best with structure and consistency. He does not require constant activity, but he does need gentle engagement and clarity in his day-to-day life. As he settles, a lighter side begins to show, with short bursts of play, curiosity, and interest in his surroundings.

He forms a strong bond with one or two people and prefers to stay nearby. He is not clingy and he will choose a spot beside you and remain there. He is best suited to a quiet home where someone is present most of the time. He is not a fit for a busy, rotating household.

Coco has never lived with other animals and we recommend that he be the one and only. He spent most of his life in a backyard and has not had a lot of leash walking experience, but got the “hang of it” pretty quickly. He can react by barking at some dogs he spots on walks but with redirection and distraction he is improving daily.
With new people, Coco can be cautious and may bark at first. This is hesitation, not reactivity. With reassurance and treats, he warms up quickly and settles.

He is currently uneasy in the car and will need patience and gradual, positive exposure to build confidence.

Coco is 8 years old, weighs 17 lbs, is neutered, vaccinated, microchipped and housetrained. Coco can stay alone for a few hours, he will whine or bark for a few minutes and then settles quickly.

MEEKA CRAVES CALM

AVAILABLE FOR ADOPTION!

Meeka is a five year old, 9 lb Biewer Terrier with a quick mind and a quicker set of feet, attentive to every sound. She checks rooms, follows patterns, and keeps track of her people. It reads as vigilance as much as curiosity. She wants to know what is happening and where she fits in.

She is affectionate and enjoys being handled. She will lean in for contact, accept a cuddle, and then move on again. She does not linger for long stretches, but she consistently returns.

Meeka is social with other dogs and could live comfortably with one or even two steady companions.

She is less suited to chaotic environments. Outside, she is sensitive to noise. Traffic, trucks, leaf blowers and sudden sounds can startle her and quickly escalate her stress. She will do best in a quiet neighbourhood on a calm street where walks have low stimulation. Car rides are not her favourite outing.

In the home, she alerts to newcomers with barking and close circling until she has assessed the situation. With guidance and routine, this behaviour can be shaped. She is highly food motivated and learns quickly, but she has had limited structured training so far. She will need an experienced owner who can provide consistent, focused time to build her skills and confidence. Think short, regular sessions with clear expectations.

Meeka has been taught to use a buzzer to signal when she needs to go out. It is a useful tool but not fully reliable. When alone she will use a p*e pad. Continued house training will be part of her transition into a new home. A secure fenced yard is imperative!

She is a sensitive, perceptive small dog who benefits from calm and a predictable routine. In the right environment, she is an engaging and rewarding companion who stays closely connected to her person.

She is sterilized, vaccinated, microchipped, and had a full dental in January 2026.

BEST FIT: an experienced owner in a house, not an apartment or condo, with adult children only. A quiet setting with a fenced yard is important. No cats. Someone home a good part of the day. No frequent car rides.

LOVE GERMAN SHEPHERDS? LIVE IN A QUIET RURAL NEIGHBOURHOOD?

This lively, young German Shepherd is full of energy and always up for a game of tug-of-war or a vigorous round of fetch. With her adventurous spirit, Kelly is an ideal companion for an active family who loves the great outdoors.

Though she may initially appear intimidating with her confident bark when meeting new people, Kelly’s tough exterior quickly softens once she gets to know you. Her pointy ears and expressive face are impossible to resist, and after some playtime, she’s more than happy to settle in for belly rubs and cuddle time with her favorite humans.

Kelly is highly intelligent and has already mastered several basic commands, motivated by treats and positive reinforcement. She has completed a board-and-train course and even attends a supervised professional daycare to continue working on her socialization skills. While she’s made significant progress, she does struggle with leash reactivity, especially when encountering other dogs or strangers during walks. Kelly would thrive with a family experienced with leash-reactive breeds, ideally in a rural area where she can enjoy peaceful walks without the added stress of heavy dog traffic.

Though Kelly is affectionate and eager to bond with her new family, she does have some emotional baggage. Her past experiences have left her with some separation anxiety. At present, she can manage a few hours alone, but with patience and consistency, she will learn to feel secure and confident in her new home. Kelly also tends to be overly excited when meeting new visitors, but with a high-value treat, she quickly calms down and is ready for attention and affection.

Kelly is fully vaccinated, spayed, microchipped, and ready to find her forever home. At 2 years old and weighing around 66 lbs, she is house-trained and crate-trained. Kelly would do best as the only pet in the household, though with slow introductions, she may adapt to living with another easy-going medium to large breed dog. We recommend a home with older children (16+). A secure, 6-foot fence is required, and if there’s a pool, it must be separately fenced for safety.

If you’re seeking an intelligent, loving, and adventurous companion who will be loyal and affectionate, Kelly could be the perfect fit for you. Apply now to make her a part of your family!

IT'S 5 MONTHS SINCE BUDDY'S OWNER DIED AND HE IS DESPERATELY WAITING TO FIND HIS NEW PERSON

Buddy is a 4+ year old Maltese whose beloved owner passed away in November, and since then this sensitive little dog has struggled significantly. He needs time to trust again with compassionate, patient people, who will ride the waves until Buddy feels totally comfortable again.
While he is mostly super affectionate and friendly, he can also be reactive to sudden movements or surprises and when pushed beyond his comfort level. In response he may air snap and has nipped. Luckily he is highly food motivated, and this works well with building his trust. Buddy is not a turnkey dog, he has experienced loss and instability and is now showing the fallout of that upheaval. He needs an experienced person who can handle his personality, someone steady, patient, and realistic. With time, consistency, and proper boundaries, he has a great capacity to become a loyal and devoted companion again.
He is energetic and enjoys brisk walks and adores zoomies in the yard. He eagerly jumps into the car but can whimper during short rides. When left alone, he typically whines and can be vocal for a bit before settling. He can stay alone for a few hours, but he does not do well with long workdays or a quiet, empty home.
Buddy weighs 12 pounds, is neutered, vaccinated, and in good health. Buddy must go to an adult-only home with no children. A condo or apartment is likely not appropriate due to his vocal tendencies. If there is a yard, it must be securely fenced, as he is a curious explorer. Pools must have separate fencing. He has never lived with a cat. A calm, stable dog in the home, ideally larger and confident, may be an asset.
He is a special dog with a lovely core personality, but he needs the right environment and a committed adopter to help him feel secure again.
If you have the experience and dedication to help Buddy rebuild his sense of safety, please fill out an application at:
