In a world that celebrates accumulation, she chose contribution.

Today, her mission is rooted deep in the rural communities of Himachal Pradesh, India, where she is dedicated to uplifting women, creating opportunities, and advancing lives through purpose-driven impact.

Some leaders build businesses.
Some build legacies in people.

Her story is a reminder that true leadership is not measured by what we own, but by the lives we transform.

We are honoured to feature the story Praveen Verma as part of the Women Who Lead global initiative by FOWES.

On the death anniversary of our Iron Lady, the Founder of Naari, the parent organization of Federation of Women Empowerment and Support, and the Shirin Hussain Education, Learning and Fulfillment Foundation, we pause not only to remember her passing, but to honour a life that continues to echo far beyond it.

She was not just a woman of strength, but of purpose; one who gave, built, uplifted, and stood tall so others could rise. Her vision was never confined to her time here; it was planted in every life she touched, every voice she empowered, every path she helped shape.

Even though she has crossed over, her presence has not faded. It lives on, in the courage of the women she inspired, in the community she created, and in the legacy that continues to grow stronger with time.

Some souls are not meant to be bound by the physical. They are meant to become movements, to become light, to become a force that outlives them.

She was, and always will be, one of those souls.

Today, we don’t just mourn her absence, we celebrate her permanence.

Women Who Thrive: Story Spotlight

Resilience is often quiet.

It grows in moments of uncertainty, in families that sacrifice, and in individuals who refuse to give up despite every obstacle placed in their path.

This month, we are proud to feature Thanuji Ranasingha’s journey, a story of determination, transition across borders, academic excellence, and the unwavering support of family through challenging times.

Her path reminds us that thriving is not the absence of struggle, but the courage to continue forward with purpose.

Through our monthly editions of Women Who Thrive, we celebrate women who rise through adversity and build meaningful impact in their communities and professions.

We invite you to read her story, be inspired, and extend your support by connecting with her on LinkedIn. Sometimes, a single connection or word of encouragement can open new doors.

Federation of Women Empowerment and Support (FOWES) proudly walks alongside Thanuji Ranasingha, as she advances toward her aspirations.

Welcoming 2026 - A Year of Growth & Sustainability

2026 is not about starting over. It is about applying the lessons learned, strengthening the structures built, refining what works, and intentionally shedding what no longer serves us.

As we step into 2026, Federation of Women Empowerment and Support is focused on impact over optics.

No number displays.
No pomp.
No inflated promises.
Just consistent, purposeful ex*****on. Quality over quantity. Always.

For over five decades, the mission remains unchanged: to advance women; economically, professionally, and strategically, in every possible way.

That legacy is not symbolic; it is operational.

In 2026, members of FOWES and its affiliate communities will experience tangible breakthroughs; shifts that will redefine how they approach business, growth, and long-term sustainability.

If you are a woman with vision, ambition, and the intent to expand, regardless of your background or current stage, you are in the right room.

Each year, FOWES operates with a guiding principle that shapes our programs, events, approaches, topics, and overall direction.

2025 was Enlightenment.
2026 is Sustainability: Sustainability in uncertain, high-risk, and rapidly changing environments.

From closed-room strategic discussions to open networking platforms; from learning to implementation; from starting to scaling and sustaining, this is where real work happens.

Stay tuned. Stay focused. Stay receptive.

When the mind aligns with action and structure, results follow. This is not mythology or motivational rhetoric: it is how progress is built.

Federation of Women Empowerment and Support wishes our members nationally and globally a purposeful, rewarding, and successful 2026.

At F.O.W.E.S we believe there is no success without health, because empowered women lead best when their mind, body, and spirit are in harmony.

Health and wellness are not luxuries; they are the foundation of women’s empowerment, leadership, and success. True empowerment begins when women are supported to thrive: physically, mentally, and emotionally.

With this vision, we are proud to announce the appointment of 𝗗𝗿. 𝗦𝗵𝘂𝗮𝗮 𝗕𝗮𝘀𝗮𝗹𝗼𝗺 as the 𝗗𝗶𝗿𝗲𝗰𝘁𝗼𝗿 𝗼𝗳 𝗪𝗼𝗺𝗲𝗻’𝘀 𝗛𝗲𝗮𝗹𝘁𝗵 & 𝗪𝗲𝗹𝗹𝗻𝗲𝘀𝘀, 𝗣𝗿𝗼𝗴𝗿𝗮𝗺𝘀 & 𝗜𝗻𝗶𝘁𝗶𝗮𝘁𝗶𝘃𝗲𝘀 at the Federation of Women Empowerment & Support (F.O.W.E.S).
