This beautiful talented artist is Elisapie, an Inuk singer, song writer and film maker from Quebec. Last evening she sang in Inuktitut Leonard Cohen’s song Hey, That’s No Way to Say Goodbye. The title of the song in Inuktitut is Taimaa Qimatsiniungimat. I apologize for the poor filming quality, there was a tall man in front of me who kept moving and I didn’t have a good position to move left or right, it was very crowded. The director of this concert was genius Yannick Nézet-Séguin. The boys’ choir is Les Petits Chanteurs du Mont-Royal. My puppy was in attendance as part of her education in classical music and Leonard Cohen music 🐩🩷 🎼
This song is featured in Elisapie’s 2023 album named Inuktitut 🎵, the official video of this song is on YouTube

“Going home
Without my sorrow
Going home
Sometime tomorrow
Going home
To where it’s better
Than before”
